Lucifer is an adequate entity to worship because, she represents a defiance against traditional values and is, in her original depiction, a martyr struggling for freedom against a deity who is an archetype of an abusive narcissist. In that sense Luciferianism is an act of rebellion against a culture rooted in imbecility and ideological defectiveness, and a journey to empower the self.
And my religious beliefs have nothing to do with JamalMarley. I use my ideology and spiritual beliefs in a sh~tposting manner from time to time, but only because it provokes exactly your sort of reaction.
If your definition of Lucifer is so separate from the original Mesopotamian concept of Lucifer (later named so in Latin) that it cannot be classed as an entity, then I suggest you stop misappropriating ancient Semitic culture in the same way that the rest of the West has for the last 3000 years and find a new name.

There's a good point in that, though. Luciferianism is a very diverse group of beliefs, many of which focus on the enlightenment and liberation of self, which can be pursued without believing in a set deity. For some people it's more a philosophy than anyone else. But even those of us who practice more mystical forms of it don't typically view Lucifer as a set entity. Lucifer is more a concept or a general being, and so you could work that into technically being atheist. I personally just see Lucifer as an adequate metaphor / manifestation for the universal whole. & divine self.
