I want to know who you think the 15 most famous users of all time on this site are. I just want to know this for a study I am interested in completing.
And if that person has several alts, list the one that is most famous.
Also, posting on this forum page makes you a possible subject in my study, but it is nothing harmful at all: just a few simple statistics.
The issue is that lucid made it convenient to count the number of reports a player has made or had made on them. Using advanced search shows the number at the top. I can't find the number for forum post. I also forgot about appeals.
If we are taking alts into account, I have 24 alts and at least on winter and dawn ive been reported or had reports.
Although albeitmajority were trolls or me reporting myself
But this is for sandbox. Reports dont make you influential in sandbox because sandbox practically have no rules. Maybe a better assesment is how many forum posts theyve made which is more influential in sandbox
I decided to use the reports to see who was really most influential in those regards. Who reported the most and who got reported the most. You actually get to learn a lot more about people that way. I'm going to go ahead and do a count on coolkidrox123's list.
Alyssa: Reported others 230 times, reported 49 times
Psy: Reported others 8 times, reported 12 times
Rigby: Reported others 9 times, reported 3 times
Holdenrye: Reported others 87 times, reported 89 times
coolkidrox123: Reported others 26 times, reported 6 times
Mrmongrel: Reported others 3 times, reported 10 times
Shayneismyname : Reported others 8 times, reported 7 times
baabaa: Reported others 15 times, reported 14 times
Almost immediately something stood out, which was alyssa/jimbeis total reports toward other players and reports given to themselves. They reported others 5 times more than others reported them. The only person with this ratio was coolkidrox123, but, the number was huge. I had a theory behind it which involved the fact alyssa is sandbox owner right now, so I decided to do some "research".
Golbolco: Reported others 66 times, reported 30 times Bebop: Reported others 49 times, reported 313 times dooze: Reported others 49 times, reported 10 times
The staff members report ratings are similar to that of holdenrye and in fact, holdenrye is apparently less controversial than Bebop. Most staff of sandbox had quite the high report numbers, bebop being the worse.
Bebop never played games in sandbox but it seems they were the most influential in a negative way to some people. Basically if you want to be owner of sandbox, you need at least 49 reports on other players.
O thks. <3 I think you should be too, not just saying that. Its hard for me to remember everyone. Hood and Artic are good mentions too. I was thinking of SnowyB, NoOne21, and potledom as well, but not sure if people remember them.
MrGongrel is by far currently one of the most influential. It has a lot to do with what MrGongrel actually does.
Any sandbox player that commonly host games in sandbox generally also ends up being influential in some way, even the ones that just want to host so they can kick people.
Anyone who has ever owned sandbox lobby has also been very influential, and this shouldn't come as a surprise. The mods chosen by sandbox owners however haven't been that influential.
A few honorable mentions have to go to anybody who's ever hosted a game that wasn't epicmafia, such as dice wars and connect four. These are certainly influential in their own ways. Last but not least, those people who didn't get banned from the site, but, chose to stop playing on the site. Honorable mentions of course, not the most influential.
EDIT: Forgot to mention the people who host on other sites for entertainment purposes such as rabbit and plugin dj.
