I know we've had difficulties in the past dealing with cheaters but understanding these allegations and understanding Pond, whom is someone who've I've had difficulties dealing with in the past but over time being able to observe his play and understand his character is an honest forthright person.
The problem on EpicMafia is that the burden of proof is structured in such a way that you almost have to proof your innocence. If the moderation staff knew Ponds like I've come to know him over these three weeks I highly doubt they would've reached the same conclusion with the evidence currently presented.
However, I have absolute faith that the moderation staff is currently working to refine this process so that accusations like this can be handled in not as haphazard of a manner that they've been handled in the past and in our present condition.

Why are so many people so toxic...like this comment has 10 upvotes? And I'm a moron? Like I don't deserve this type of negative reception for this it just makes me feel horrible. I'm pouring my heart out in rebuttal to these claims and people just keep wanting to keep me down
I'm so crushed by this decision. Memes, trolling, and jokes aside, this was the first round I've ever ran in, and spent substantially more time on this website in the last 3 weeks than I have before. I was super excited to get on every day and spend my hearts and met a bunch of people and made new friends through competing and playing comp. I feel like I got shady and I both DQ'd simply by becoming his friend naturally TRing him within games. I made a friends and shady and I were both running and it was so cool. This round was something that, personally, made me feel excited to be a part of the community and excited to play more games and make friendships.
I understand the bin. I understand that my TRing of shady was poor gameplay and you can see me struggling with that as the round goes on. But ultimately, I feel like this decision discourages happy, fun, excited people from playing the game. Like I'm sitting here placing well in round so excited about all the games I played and ready for more. And this decision just...completely derails me. When I'm not a person with any ill-will, any intention of cheating, and ideas about trolling and ruining games. I know this is a rant -- but i'm just crushed. thanks if you read
on Pond/shady: I honestly think you might be reading too much into the situation if you think Pond had nefarious intent going into his games with shady. Maf can be a stressful game and you thought processes can easily get addled during a stretch of games. It's hard really for me to say due to not having been I don't think in any of the games they played together, but having a look at some of them I don't think it's unreasonable for shady's play to have gotten trs even when he was playing as scum. Perhaps Pond just genuinely didn't know a lot of the time and found it easier to err on the side of tr-ing him and hoping to be right given shady's strong townplay (not suggesting this is a good thing to do, just what /might/ have happened in this case) It wouldn't be the first case anyone got consistently diddled by another player is basically what I'm trying to say.

okay, but i haven't even read any of your games, i'm just saying it's really suspicious and it's not really a jump to a conclusion to think that, given those circumstances, you would cheat again. again, haven't read it, but also not sensing a huge impetus that we're making the wrong call here

i wouldn’t say it’s throwing but rather meta abusing, even if it was subconscious it’s pretty clear that you were playing to shady’s wincon just by reading the games lol, you tr him all the time without any basis, you never lynch him
