It's 1:20am in Italy. This is my first time travelling outside NA. I'm ultra jetlagged, it's my first night here but I already spent a day here.
I'm feeling symptoms of anxiety and I don't really know why; I don't normally have anxiety. I had to leave my hotel room and just go to the lobby where there's light since I'm sharing a room with my brother.
I can't sleep at all even though I've had just 2 hours of sleep in the past 48, and I don't feel the best physically either, and kinda just want someone to talk to
omg i loved italy. my most memorable experience was in the tuscany area where we went to this like farm and got a tour around and also had the freshest food ever. had like lasagna, sausages and other really yummy stuff lol. i also got to throw an apple at a pigs butt there xd. also i really enjoyed the margherita pizza from naples. have fun giga!
thanks! tuscany was beautiful! we visited a winery and i bought some wine from there. i loved looking at the stars at night, it was so peaceful. i am a space nerd too so i really enjoy that. at night in the south west i have been able to see Saturn every night

also visited siena on tues for a bit, 2 days before their annual horse race they have every year involving one horse from each of italy's 12 provinces. it actually just finished i watched it on tv lol
jetlag when travelling east is a b*tch, it's impossible to sleep, you get anxious for no reason and when you wake up you feel like you got stabbed in the face, back and anus repeatedly
when you come back it'll be smooth sailing tho, you'll just be super tired at like 8 pm and then you'll wake up at 6 am feeling ready to go on a jog, do laundry, ur homework, ur makeup, have a nice breakfast, walk the dog and write a thank u note to ur grandma
this
"anxiety for no reason" literally lol, luckiky the night after i made this thread it went away for the most part and then it was totally gone after that
im happy that im gonna be a productive morning person when i fly back the 6h difference, will help with going to school in a couple weeks lol
I've been to italy its not too bad! I recommend going to the vatican city! Also just walk into any restaurant. Most people will know english. Try the mcdonalds, they have chicken wings!

Mon Tues Wed stayed in Castel San Gimignano and drove out to some spots including Loverno and Pisa

hey giga travel makes me anxious too, but i find that getting to know the environment and finding places that feel familiar helps a lot
this is very true for me, the more i find things that remind me of toronto, the better it makes me feel lol
im glad youre having an easier time!
now that you found tools quell your anxiety, i hope you get empowered and maybe push urself out of your comfort zone even more! if anything, you get to figure out ur limits and know to stay within them
woah i'm going to italy in a few days too!! maybe we will unknowingly consume ristrettos adjacent to each other. i am pretty nervous too but the food will make it all worthwhile : D. are u going to be up north at all?
Hate to burst the bubble, but unless you like desserts the most, it might be disappointing.
Italian food is great pretty much everywhere except Italy itself. Good sweets tho
