When I was but a youngster, I joined my first ever forum site. I have plenty of memories from there, but one of the main ones was that we played forum games. A lot. Hurt and heals, counting games, but my favorite was playing and hosting forum mafia. One day, a friend found a little known site named Epic Mafia.
Our first game I often mention to people, a 25-player game in training lobby, with the anon deck being towards countries. My friends were immediately put off by the blatant racism towards Canadians, and throwing around insults like nobody's business. They all went back to the board site, but I stuck around. 5 years later, and EM's made so many memorable moments and friendships that'll last me a long time.
Just recently, that forum site was closed down permanently. Not with a bang but a whimper. There's no real point to this topic, I just wanna pour one out for the site that prompted me to join EM.
Never forget your roots, good night.
