Trying to defend 'the elites aren't racist' is hard to do because there are a fair amount of people in rich families who have gained compound interest off the backs of their slaves and plantations.
But you up when you mentioned 'college educated', I didn't want to steamroll you by mentioning 'wow, college grads', because for one you aren't one, and two, that's throwing college grads under the bus.
Calling me dumb just confirms you as an assclown. Racism is hiding in that the racists do racist but are still aware that they can't just claim that they're racist because they know that it must be wrong.
Racism hiding has been a fact ever since it was more acceptable for the upper class to hold liberal views about race, it meant that those who wanted to have more pain free upward mobility had to disguise their racism to climb if they weren't already too powerful to fail.
The overt ones yeah but when you have 10 Year olds in the school yard nudging you and asking "what do you think of black people" the contempt is real deep set.
And what do you think the parents are doing? Probably self-aware enough to be 'in the closet'.
This was a repeated theme throughout my life in person and online, people asking about black people, complaining when videos about overt racism come up, etc.
They're not always forward about it, but it's not like it wasn't there for years. And yet, "racism is treated like it is just now a big problem". For reference I live in the UK, I don't suspect that it is that different in the US.
If racism is so prevalent that it's a school boy issue then you have a p. huge problem.
