Do all pedophiles deserve death?

Children are seen as the epitome of innocence which is why we get so upset at the thought of harm ever coming to them.

Pedophiles are seen as potential dangers to children, which is why they are seen as one of the most disgusting and hated people on the planet.

But I believe there is a fine line between active predators, and people who realize this is a sick mental disorder and seek help for it.

I think it's too late for offending pedophiles, but I believe we should treat pedophilia in general as a mental disorder.

not to throw gasoline on this fire of dumb opinions but homosexuality isn't comparable to pedophilia because all pedophilic interactions are factually harmful, predatory, and exploitative, whereas homosexual relationships are, generally speaking, between two equitable individuals in maturity. homosexuality, whether or not it is a choice, does not automatically lead to a victimized party. pedophilia does. regardless of pedophilia being a choice or not, it inherently leads to victimization and thus is not a "sexuality", it is just a crime my dudes.

my point about passion is there are certain aspects of life we have no choice over. example: you cannot choose your passion in life. you can choose to pursue it. you cannot CHOOSE to like children, you choose to act on your desires.

as for thought, you simply cannot think about what to think about, it's a paradox. you see a child and think sexual thoughts about that child, there's not a whole lot you can do, and trying to push that thought out using pure willpower is pretty hard. I imagine no pedophile likes to "dwell" on it since they'd just be torturing themselves.

It's disgusting and immoral to be an active pedophile. If someone's inactive I have nothing but immense respect for them; they repressed a core part of your brain, a fetish they never chose / would rather have a better one. If they want to indulge, they can find pics of it online and no one is getting hurt.
