welcome. i like to cook and eat so i will be documenting my food adventures. this will basically be a food blog where i will talk about foods i have made (incl. recipes) or yummy foods i have eaten. i'm gonna try to make this a daily thing but sometimes i recycle recipes so who knows...
just a disclaimer: i'm a pescatarian and at the moment i am on a low carb diet so i can lose weight, so if some of these recipes seem like extremely healthy that's why. i am a big fan of greasy, carb loaded foods but i'm tired of being fat and ugly. of course i'll probably have the occasional cheat day where maybe my boyfriend and i go somewhere fun so we eat something unhealthy or not in my diet but for now i'm gonna try to produce low carb recipes and stuffs.
ok ladies so i'mma start off this thread by talking about what i ate for breakfast because it was something new i tried to make and i think it turned out really well! i made 2 breakfast tacos and used eggs to make a tortilla to make the meal low carb. i then made my own vegetarian chorizo by grinding up gardein pork bites and adding just a little bit of beefless ground (i'd say the mixture was 3/4ths ground pork bites 1/4th beefless ground). i fried the mixture in oil and for spices i added dried chiles, red pepper flakes, chili powder, onion powder, garlic salt, and ground black pepper. i let the "meat" sit in the pan until some pieces were crunchy and others still soft. after the chorizo was done i set it aside to cool off and got to making like an avocado mixture to use as a taco topping. i used 1/2 of an avocado, a little bit of milk to make it creamy, lemon and lime juice, chili powder, 1/2 of a dried chile, salt & pepper and threw all the ingredients in the blender. once that was done i went ahead and started whisking 2 eggs in a bowl with some salt and pepper then fried them evenly on both sides to make a tortilla. once i had all my ingredients i just assembled the tacos and added sour cream, cilantro, white onion, and tabasco. tragically i did not take a pic but it was all very yummy. thanks for listening to my ted talk
