they played the whole round. did they cheat? If you do not have proof that they cheated, they should get the trophy I think here. Its not their fault that you freed them before you should have!
You had freed them and if they played legally during the round and the round was not compromised, they deserve the trophy. you decided after the round ended that they bypassed before the round.
I am not sure if they cheated or not and should be disqualified by that alone, but you messing up the unban dates should not be a reason to dq someone
trophies should go to the best player of the round that played fairly
they only suspended you from the competition. If you are out on a leash, you are not allowed to trophy. Otherwise what stops people from breaking rules indefinitely and then getting second chance to trophy

Aight, I just assumed the unban was a full pardon one like the ones in the mass spring unban and that the mods were aware that the maite03 alts were my alts. Thanks for clarifying.

note: you probably wouldn't be banned if you weren't in a position to trophy, it's true - being in a position to trophy means you'll be investigated and that's probably why Sachy alt checked you and found that you were bypassing the whole time and why it may seem like the mods were out to screw you over since it may seem like convenient timing. But really, it's sort of deserved and just a result of mods doing their due diligence
but really, had you just not tried to trophy and not drawn any attention to yourself to get alt checked you'd probably not be banned right now and be able to play

I second this. meteor laws need more clearly defined. The bottom line is that mafia do not know who will be saved unless town like all agrees that the doc will save X. If the town says that x is the save, and mafia then kill x it should be gting. if mafia nls or does not try to kill then its gting. mafia trying to kill town without a clear save target, should never be gting.... gting requires intent to lose and they do not know the save target!!!!!

after backreading some and remembering a few things of note, here's how I think things played out:
1) you requested an unban and I checked the unban date (which had passed) so I unbanned you
2) later on charley remembered that you had bypassed (the bypassing extension wasn't properly listed on you unban date) but since your ban was already something incredibly long and it was nearly up anyway we decided to just leave you as unbanned
3) it was later found that you had been bypassing the entire time and had actually served no part of your ban, as opposed to just getting caught once like it was initially thought
4) you were rebanned and suspended from the round with this new found information here:
when you were unbanned we didn't actually have alt checks, we still don't - only admins do, and during that time we didn't actually have an active admin so we didn't realize you were bypassing that entire time
it isn't that anything was done to screw you over, or that the mods are against you, we simply didn't have the tools then

And considering most players on this site have denied the fun of the game for someone else at some point, I don’t think it’s too hard to empathize
So mods. Riddle me this. If maf keeps hitting cop all nights and doc keeps saving. And on meteor night doc tries to save their town read or their n1 save and mafia kills outside cop, and doc saves again. What then? Did the doc gt? Or did the maf gt by not being able to tell who the doc would save?
A rule based on mechanics should always be absolute and not something like "maf should know that they need to kill outside of who doc has been saving"
Moreover, a mod has no right to say "why would doc save outside". Because the doc may think that their initial save or tr is gonna help town more than the cop.
Since we can't base a gt vio based on common occurance, we need to go back to the original correct rule which is also in line with the rule on rules page. The save is the action that intends to save and therefore ensure no one dies when we want someone to die. When a death is compulsary, we should not have the choice to still save someone.

That’s fair enough, but it still leaves the question of why the mods unbanned me in the first place. Did they believe I deserved a second chance? If so, why did they revoke it when it was convenient to them? Was it just simply an oversight? That doesn’t reflect well upon them, but it happens sometimes. But again, is it not convenient that this oversight came to light when I was about to trophy? The only other option is that the mod team believed I misused my second chance, but again, they have not proven that - I don’t have any vios for this round.

If they were worried I cheated they should have actually done a pastebin. Anyone who knows me (which includes a few of the mods) know that I don’t have the foresight to cheat my way to a trophy without getting caught. If I were some ABC serial cheater, you’d think I actually have at least one single trophy across all of my accounts lol. The multi accounting I did while banned was to farm 1.5 points for comp and occasionally in gold heart for optimum game throw. But c’mon, Charley, JM all know I’m an idiot and if I were cheating in the round it would be obvious af.
they probably think you cheated someone probably suggested they ban you cause you got a sh!ton of vios while you bypassed anyways

The GRS vio on pepi was BS and my appeal didn’t go through but none of the reports were fabricated to get me banned now because the mods didn’t know I would trophy. I don’t think Sachy linked M1styyy either and that account had a buncha vios at any rate.
Q: would TEO work if we replaced guiser with someone else? Because at this point guiser does feel like another nilla

It’s pretty unfair that I was retroactively given a 9 vio ban when just a week ago I was unbanned despite the mods presumably knowing all of my alts. Either they unbanned me out of incompetence or out of corruption. And when I’m about to trophy and runners are complaining about it they just slapped a retroactive reban even though there’s precedence of unbans erasing prior vios and I have not broken any rules since my unban.

if someone can play https://epicmafia.com/setup/1455731 for a bit and the win rates are fair, i'll replace christmafia with that. or if you guys want voltron doesn't like it/basic framer 2 in place of christmafia whatever i just want jan 2.0 comped because it's my favourite since i can't comp teo
