I refuse to let go that a French restaurant in 2018 (or 2015 when the picture was taken) still uses comic sans for it's sign

They deduce that the code is 23 __ __ 99.

With 40 minutes remaining, the other two photos give the players more trouble. Noticing that there is a mark at the bottom of the third photo showing that the photo was taken July 2015, they look for other areas with photos taken at the same time. Rather than splitting up and combing the entire map, they decide to focus on the southwest corner of the map.

With time running out and no sign of the third photo, some players break away and begin combing for the Yoda mural. They discuss using a hint, but they cannot decide what they should ask. They are worried they will ask the wrong question and lose time.

Time ticks away, and soon there are only 10 minutes remaining. The players still have trouble deciding how they should phrase their question. Finally, with three minutes left and nothing to lose, Platy asks, "Are either of the remaining pictures within a 10 minute walk of the restaurant?" The answer is yes, but it is too little too late.

They take a last-second guess at the code: 23185499, but it is incorrect.

The final code was 23251999. The money stays locked in the ATM--the Mole has won this round.

The photos were located at the North and West sides of the map-- opposite from where they were focusing earlier.

The players begin their second challenge!

Somewhere, in the city of Cambrai, there is a restaurant the players must find.



Their task is to perform a virtual scavenger hunt in the city of Cambrai, searching for the restaurant.

Inside the restaurant is an ATM containing $8. They have 60 minutes to find the restaurant and retrieve the money.


There is also an 8-digit code the players must input in order to retrieve the money. The code can be found on four sides scattered throughout Cambrai. Each sign has two digits on it--when put together, they spell out the 8-digit code.






To win this challenge, the players need to find those landmarks in the city of Cambrai that spell out the passcode.

If they have trouble finding them, they may also ask the hosts yes-or-no questions as hints. If the answer is "yes", the hint is free; if the answer is "no", five minutes is deducted from the clock.

The first execution has taken place.




The surviving players prepare for a good night's sleep, before beginning episode 2 of their adventure.

For the players' second challenge, they were tasked with playing "I'm Going on a Trip". Each player had to go down the alphabet listing an item, associated with Europe, that they would take with them on their trip. They were told that the funniest item, as decided by the forum, would win an exemption.

After some deliberation, they came up with these items:

The poll opened for 48 hours... which was just enough time to play the second part of the challenge!

The players then had to PHOTOGRAPH the 12 items they just listed.

If they could get 8 in 48 hours, they would add $4 to the pot; if they could get all 12, the prize would be doubled to $8.
They were given the option to switch any two items, but there was a catch--switching an item would mean that the player who submitted it would lose their eligibility for the exemption, and any decisions made had to be unanimous.

There was some controversy--some players wanted to switch some of the more difficult items, but a few users were adamant about keeping them the same. In the end, these items were found:
