A. Banned users can't file reports, but please unban yeasayer as a side note.
B. While I agree that a line was crossed, he did stop, and I don't think he deserves a HC violation.
C. He is one of my favorite posters, was a cool dude when I was going through a rough time, and is one of the few users left I still enjoy.
Being as there aren't really all that many forum posters or old comp vets left, can we let bygones be bygones and OT the vio with the understanding that he needs to stop now?
Also harodihg is a pretty cool guy, post in this thread about anything if you agree
"well whatever, i don't really CARE" he says as he made a thread about it and has made several posts about caring whether a third party gets a vio.

Because in real life, where shooting people happens, you can say whatever you'd like

Did you just compare saying something nasty to shooting someone. Don't you think that's a little, well I dunno, dumb?

I don't think he deserves it. I don't really care all that much, but I think he does. The violation is pretty pointless

me: *shoots guy and then gets surrounded by police*
sonseray: please, DO NOT arrest him. he is done shooting people and he was the only person in the area. there's no real point in punishing him. he stopped without being asked to anyway so he's a good person at heart.

There are like ten forum posters left or something, and he's done either way.
There's no real point in giving him the violation.
And he did stop before he was asked. Wasn't the rule supposed to be that you can get the violation if you do not stop after being asked? He was engaged.
I didn't start playing here with any help. It took me a few years to figure out that there were better setups than Fancy Pants, and even then I was hardly able to play them. I remember giving competitive games a shot the moment I hit 1500 points. They made me more lost than ever, but it was only a few games in when I met the man who would teach me everything I needed to know. The setup was O2R. The man was Calvin.
Calvin had a special place in his heart for new players. He actively scouted the user base for potential. I didn't know what I was getting in to, but Calvin would end up giving me the knowledge and experience necessary to win my first gold trophy one round later. He went on to help me become a moderator, and through his friendship I became an active member of the Epicmafia community. He never let me doubt myself. He never gave me the opportunity for failure.
Calvin, you were the best mentor a man could have. I can only hope that I'm able to pass an iota of your attitude, knowledge or wisdom onto my mentees. Thank you.

"this minor inconvenience to ian is an overreaction and i will not stand for it" -you, for some reason
Do I seem angry to you, or something?

ian has said some nice things

No, but I'd rather not see him burned at the stake, especially since he stopped before anyone asked him to stop.
BombCat's signature move is self-destruct, after all.
