Edit: Think I'm gonna kill this finally. EM just has so many errors lately that can make posting a pain sometimes and this lobby looks deader than ever. It's been fun.

I typically watch around 25 anime a season so there's a good chance I've seen or at least know most shows you would be interested about.

Anime recommendations aren't daily (as you've probably noticed) because there's not enough good anime to keep it going daily unless you guys want me to start recommending garbage. BUT I'LL GIVE YOU ONE TODAY!!

In honor of spooktober I think it necessary that everyone watch "Shiki" one of the few spooky anime that are actually good.

Second paragraph of synopsis below contains spoilers read at your own risk.

ANIME RECOMMENDATION - Shiki

"Fifteen-year-old Megumi Shimizu dreamed of a glamorous life in the big city; however, her unexpected death in the quiet village of Sotoba marks the beginning of what appears to be a ferocious epidemic that turns the hot summer into a season of blood and terror. A young doctor named Toshio Ozaki begins to doubt the nature of the disease and comes to understand that to discover the truth, he must abandon his humanity. Meanwhile, Natsuno Yuuki, an antisocial youth from the city, is haunted by the sudden death of Megumi and must realize the pain of friendship in the face of his own tragedy. Toshio and Natsuno form an unlikely pair as they work together to save Sotoba before it transforms into a ghost town of vampires.

Spoiler
Shiki, adapted from the horror novel written by Fuyumi Ono, goes beyond the average vampire story. It tells the tragic tale of survival in a world where one cannot easily distinguish between good and evil. Abandoned by God, the Shiki, as the vampires call themselves, have only their will to live as they clash with the fear of the paranoid/unbelieving villagers. Shiki explores the boundary that separates man from monster."

Shiki doesn't rely on jumpscares but on the unease you feel from great a atmosphere accompanied by a fantastic soundtrack. Sink your teeth into this anime and decide for yourself what is truly right.

What's a musician/artist that you listen to that you think a lot of people would be surprised that you do?

Honestly I'm not sure. I feel like if people knew me they'd know that my music taste is so random (for lack of a better word) that almost nothing would be surprising, but if they didn't know me I'd have to figure out what they think they know about me and then pick the opposite so it's nearly impossible to think of something that would get everyone.

All I can say is my music taste is very wide and that in itself may be what is surprising.

Suppose I'll try my best to surprise you though (and likely fail) I actually enjoy a good portion of Eminem's songs.

It's a great movie as well but I think it unfairly overshadowed the superior Koe no Katachi simply because of it's availability worldwide. China in particular had a HUGE impact on the spread and positive reception of Kimi no na wa.

Koe no Katachi/A Silent Voice.

It's a beautiful movie filled with emotions would recommend to anyone even those who aren't fond of anime. I won't say much more but the main female character is deaf.
