@orly nah dude everyone quit when the sjws lost and trolls took over. toxic environment destroyed the playerbase. ur dumbass walls o text are meaningless
MAn. It'd be cool to see a turnaround and see the site have a renaissance, but there would need to be structural changes and a marketing push to make a notable impact.
Ultimately it doesn't change the fact that we are all getting older and our interests change with time as do our obligations, and so does our free time.
Apologies if my rant was negative, but that's more or less what I've observed. I haven't been active much at all since Jasper or Bell were admins so I can't speak to gameplay trends the past 2 years, but certainly forum activity has dropped substantially. Shiv makes a good point of using round thread activity as a function of activity in game
There's a number of things you can chalk the decline to, but one that hasn't been mentioned is the age of the site and the age of its core members.
Many people who joined the site years ago are now much older and have other things going on. I joined in 2013 during my last semester of university and even then I was among the older half of the population that was active in comp and now main lobby.
On the mod front, to Sims' point, theres a lot of BS that they deal with and the site's demands on the mods to resolve reports and the general attitude towards them push people away. As admin it felt like I was dealing mostly with politics and PR way more often than doing anything meaningful to make the site better (i.e. My misguided tirade against "bad" setups).
You could argue that the lobby format (split up between the main 3-4 lobbies, thus dividing an already small player base) the growing polarization between the types of games that people like (like how the only way to play a comp quality setup is if it's comped, but new players don't learn those setups in reds so there is a skills gap), the nature of comp itself leading to heated exchanges and cheating, pushing newbies and old timers alike away.
Now my very important comment is at the top of the page, where it belongs. I am very important

admins wont do it

and all other small farm setups that pop up after. that would fix the site and bridge the gap between red heart and comp. and u need blacklist reverse lol
SJWs IRL, man you crack me up. grow the fk up out of your first world entitlement. the only person you are good at lying to is yourself. nobody, i repeat, nobody respects the label you put on yourself. we just look at you for who you are: a self-deprecating turd who cant stop thinking about themselves and what they "deserve"
it is a vicious cycle though, and so i do sympathize, especially for those that feel as if they've become trapped in their own reality.
i truly feel for people who are so lost in their own identity crisis that they cant come to accept others for who they are. it's a fascinating hypocrisy, where SJWs are so consumed by defining themselves, that they forget to accept other's definitions, of themselves and those other people.
i can't believe EM died and it wasn't the SJWs....
i mean it was definitely that too. the report system acted like a big fkn enabler for all the safe-space, frankly pathetic behavior. oh no someone hurt my feelings on the internet - mother fkr thats half the reason the internet exists
and competitive rounds of epicmafia is the biggest fkn joke of a circle jerk ever to exist. taking a social party game seriously is the stupidest fkn thing you can do, and also the weirdest.
put simply, comp took the fun out of the party, and you guys ruined the game by making it something to beat each other at.
worst of all, you tryhards at EM are often the type to think that Mafia is the way the real world works.
news flash: it isn't. business isn't just about stabbing others in the back for your own benefit. the best work humans do is always mutually beneficial, and inherently non-zero sum.
and all the pretend bs you try to pull online? none of that flies IRL. feminism at the workplace is such a sweet example of this.
real women know they can fk a guy if they want to move up in business. they know it because real femininity is power.
fake @ss hoes who talk about equal rights and how they need to be respected are always fkn full of sh!t. everyone sees your fake @ss for what it is, hoe. you aint goin nowhere. nobody gives a FK about your bs.
i can speak for every brother out there. you know who you are, and you are full of it. but here's something you don't know: everyone talks behind your back when you try to pull your safe space bs. no one except your other weird safe space friends respects it. in fact, most of those same people talk behind your back, just like you do to them.
and thats the sad truth. my favorite ones are the ones who are lazy and unproductive and yet you think you are getting away with it by pulling gender this, race that.
nah buddy, you're not going anywhere. everyone sees that bs from miles away.
