North Korea General

We're approaching crunch time folks

The North Korean citizenry is f.ucked no matter how you spin it.

A real solution based on actual tangible policy is trading a Chinese-imposed regime change for disputed islands in the South China Sea. Someone explain to me why I'm not right

really nk is the biggest crisis for u, not for one the occupation of palestinian lands by israel, the longest occupation in modern history, or the other occupation, the one in afghanistan, or hell the biggest migrant crisis since ww2
the country that has yet to actually do anything?

idk but the north korean ppl have a right to self determination and should not have regimes be imposed on them by foreign nations
deletedabout 7 years
Idk who that is, but if you're too stupid to understand or care about the biggest international crisis of the millennia don't open the thread. Most people are, I don't blame you.

Recivism are you trying to be the next MeetTerry by making these threads

Idk about that but trading disputed islands in the South China Sea for a regime change in North Korea seems like such a good solution to me.

The average American couldn't tell you who gadaffi was
about 7 years
still gadaffi is no match to saddam the man hussein, who got rid of his wmd programs and then asked the us if he could invade kuwait only to get blowned away, and then getting blamed for 9/11 lmao
about 7 years
still looking for the gadaffi involvement in the Lockerbie bombing
deletedabout 7 years
That was, um, nonsense.

Gaddafi was a small fry, but yes, we asked him to dispose of his nuclear program, he did, and then we killed him like a trapped animal.

dude had paintings of condoloeza rice, really anti us huh
about 7 years
gaddafi was inevitable, the us blamed him for everything, he gladly took the blame, with no deterrent ofc the us was eventually pushed into war with him

somethingwhatever says

imagine if gwb and obama didnt invade the countries that got rid of their nuclear programs, maybe then we could have a world where the us could in good faith ask to other regimes to get rid of theirs

Gaddafi should probably have been left alone. As evil as he may have been, he was not a source of international strife.

even the iran deal, the us says iran is doing everything and they continue the economic warfare

Orly says

also, as far as US acting unilaterally, the UN just greenlit preemptive action essentially by Security Council sovereign states

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/asia/north-korea-nuclear-weapon-test-hydrogen-bomb-un-watchdog-yukiya-amano-a7929216.html

this is the sort of phrasing necessary for a delegation from the Security Council to properly and legally declare a necessity to act in defense of other sovereign states / their own

Yeah but who cares, all it takes to order an airstrike is the word of the US president (Obama in Libya, as an example) and a single airstrike would provoke a full scale conventional war.

I don't think that Trump is very smart, but I could definitely see him panicking and ordering a unilateral airstrike on North Korea to provoke a war as the Russia investigation closes in, which would marginalize any chance of impeachment proceedings succeeding as the country focuses on the bloodshed. Doesn't take a genius to see that that is one of his best moves, and that he has been considering it.

If the Russia investigation is real and is closing in on Trump, what is to stop him from starting a conventional war with North Korea to trivialize it? That seems like the smart chess move.

nah, even jokingly, that's just in poor taste and not funny. it's genuinely an insult to decades worth of modern human history. you'd have to, oooh, i dont know, be brainwashed, to think that's something you joke about.

it's kinda like me saying, i hope our troops die in afghanistan, because we shouldnt be there LUL ayy lmao what a twist, im being edgy
