Multiple accounts associated with a single IP address can enter the comp .
This is bad, because users who can use 2 accounts have a twice as likely chance of winning. If users use 3 accounts, 5 accounts, whatever, then it just becomes a challenge to see who can play the most games with the most alts, because even a mediocre player can win 80% of their games based on sheer odds.
Particularly malicious users can use alts to gamethrow (subtly) against other users.
I suggest remedying the issue in 3 ways:
As a little experiment, I tried using 3 accounts to enter the same comp game from the same IP address. Surprisingly, it worked. I could see this having valid applications in unranked games or even ranked matches (siblings, roommates, mechanics testing, etc) but there should be a higher standard for goldheart games.
Lucid this is something that should not take you more than 20 or 30 minutes to program and will improve the game for everyone. Even a 13 year old kid with only the most rudimentary shell script knowledge could spend a lazy Saturday implementing these improvements.
