How would we know? Since there is no Feedback process to tell people why they weren't chosen? You guys ask for applications, people submit them, then if they don't get it never hear anything.
I can tell you that the prior administrations was quite harsh on HC/harassment and that didnt help at all. Quite the opposite if anything as the site's general population has been going down since 2014.
this site is way more rule free and un-policed, hate-allowing nowadays than it was. you don't enjoy it anymore because its getting inactive and you grew up

iim not talking about the mod teams, im talking about the rules, and the way the site is run, stop allowing all the hate, all that jazz. and honestly, the mod team is still very biased, perfectly capable people are still refused the job because of uncoolness or personal bias or whatever
If anything, I would say overpolicing killed the enjoyment/population this site used to have but thats just my personal opinion. But most sites tend to have a short lifespan and epicmafia is actually an exception and have survived for an impressively long time. But inevitably people will move on and its often foolish to try and pinpoint the blame onto one single thing.
This is actually completely false. We've had drastic changes in the mod teams ever since Harry got in power from a more political correct and stricter mod team to a more lenient and understanding one.

i mean they want it to stay that way, im not trying to change it, just letting them know if they want the populate to increase there needs to be some change. they do give violations to people, but it doesnt matter because some of the main delinquents are popular and never serve their full bans so the cycle continues
I have to agree with Lono here. Going into this with the attitude of "Toxicity is a necessary evil." only makes the problem worse. It's not a necessary evil and if it were regulated with violations and whatnot the site can become a better place. We don't allow HC, why should we allow toxicity? Give warnings that lead to violations that lead to bans for being a toxic person and you can clean the site up. Not saying it will be an immediate over night change, but it can happen. If you refuse to allow that kind of behavior, you set the expectation. "You want to play on epicmafia? Cool. Then this is the expectation we have from you as a player." And no I'm not saying you can't get mad in a game and yell at someone. People get heated in this game. However, when you leave that game and make a post on the forums describing how dumb a person is and how their mom was by a wildebeest...then that's where behavior becomes destructive to the community. We need a culture change. Just my two cents.

i disagree, this isn't on the caliber of league or any other huge video game, this is epicmafia, and should be looked at like other forum communities that, if they would see what was going on here, would completely laugh at the community. rules. change. it can easily happen, the only hard part will be waiting or the people that will inevitably rebel due to the change to shut the hell up.
there can be some hostility in games because i think that does well for the game, but the way its taken outside of the games and onto the forums and in the community and site chats is terrible and im still surprised its allowed all these years later.
Toxicity is inevitable. I do not see your point. Any game with a competitive background will always have toxicity and there is no real way to permanently remove it...
