you'd really, realistically, only need one of these people to be really mad at you to actually fear for your IRL life although i won't name specific people
this is getting 2 real for me

Eris If they loved me. They'd be ethe type of yandere protector that if you were in dnager they'd go on a murder spree and kill everyone :0
Yeah but if Eris gets caught he's looking at torture to get him to give up your location. And we'll be ready for that too and have more time to prepare. Bad dice roll, just stay in your small town working the cornfield imho.
we're getting back into motivation again lol
edit: also working the cornfields lol i'd be reading thrillers learning about A.I. fr*ck you
Nah not talking about motivation, just that if he's caught you'd need to move again. I mean it's not too much trouble I suppose just set up some signaling protocol on the internet and have him signal you every few days if you don't need to move, and make sure you have a plan in place for when you do need to move that he intentionally doesn't know about.

or rather, less repetitive and circular i.e. we're both talking in theory and there's no way to know what would happen and it probably wouldn't depend too much on the individuals

"going on the offensive" would not be done in a silly way. My protector, for instance, could be the go-between.
That's too much risk and if your trail goes cold you're fine anyways. Just eris isn't going to be able to take us all on. There's a lot of value to people who are willing to devote their lives to something arbitrary, much more than you'd think. And we have 8 to your 1 fanatics. And it doesn't matter who you pick the attacking team is going to have enough leadership to utilize each member.
i considered that but subtlety exists so if i thought of a safe way i'd do my damnedest to convince eris to go on the offensive and threaten him by confiding in people if need be
eris would rob a bank and then hire a PI to go after one of the journalists in a national local newspaper, blackmail them if they dont put out some type of amber alert for terrorism when it's actually false. that would cause each person who's hiding to leave their current spot and flee town, therefore he could trace them and inevitably plant bombs into their cars as they take bathroom breaks
Psh making 8 bombs, robbing a bank, gathering blackmail info, all before the red team secures themselves?
In all seriousness though you'd be fine. You'd need to drop off the face of the earth and start a quiet life in some town under a fake name.
and we're back to where we started, folks!!!
seriously though this is a huge tangent from the original point of the topic, getting fantastical af, and way more of an unnecessarily complex/bogged-down-by-detail interpretation of the prompt than it was to include motivation in the equation
