So, to reiterate:

Fortress lacking in food, water, plumbing, farms, beds, meeting area.

Turpentine is expedition leader and I believe he fought a raccoon.

Going to need to burrow in and huddle up because we're all going to die.

No workshops or industry set up.

When I get back to it the fortress will probably resemble collapsing inner city infrastructure if it were all in a cave.

Update 2, 9/25/16:



So our fortress is called TangleTrumpets. I like it.



Here's our starting 7 crewmembers!



Our starting locale is on top of a mountain. I was told that Masterwork DF came packaged with a texture pack to make it readable, but I still don't understand what's going on.



Other than the uncarved parts, this is what our main hall entrance looks like. Those arrows pointing down will be a bath thingy to clean dwarves before they track in mud/goblin innards and those two 5x5 rooms are the trade depot and the kennels.



Throughout the year we got two migrant waves. A few people died at the end, though. If your character is dead you can reapply to be put in the queue. The final death toll was Keldran and PissProblems, rip lol.



During the winter the river stayed frozen, making it easy to carve out the bathwater tunnels and well resevoir below:





Here's the beginning of the dining hall. I like things all blocky and regimented, but as I learned toward the end of the year that's counterproductive so I'm going to start hauling and probably set things up colonial ghetto style. Yay, poverty!

The coolest fight that happened so far was BAABAA VS. SHAGGY MUMAK:



At the end of the fight part of her foot exploded and she just kept repeating "I'm panicking!" over and over again. Then the announcement board got flooded with cancellations for giving water (this was winter) so I guess that was for her.

Update 1, 9/25/16:



Here we have the title screen. I'm running Masterwork Dwarf Fortress to add some fun stuff that I can't search up on the wiki so I have some added challenge. No, I'm not a masochist, why do you ask?



Not sure what these things do beside the obvious, lol.



Our finished world, the Cyclopean Dimensions! I believe that this image is of the South Pole, that's what all of the grey-blue tiles are.

Next update I'll actually launch the game and let it run for a year or two.
