Welcome to Forum Mafia 19: Forbidden Actions!

Game is over. Ended on Day 5

Mafia wins! This game was ranked.

The mastermind's behind this game are Gerry, Mori and myself.

The game will be played like any other Forum Mafia game, with one twist! Every player will be given an action pregame. If the action they are given is performed, they will be Killed from the game, with their forbidden action being shown afterward. More information will be given under Rules.

I. The Schedule:

72 Hour Days. 24 Hour Nights

  • If you don't submit actions by the deadline I will consider you taking no action.

II. The Set Up:

  • There is no "possible roles list". I promise not to get too crazy.

  • Mafia will have Day chat. And will know each other's Forbidden Actions

  • You will get an Alignment PM. Town or Mafia and your alignment will not change.

YOU CANNOT SHARE THIS FORBIDDEN ACTION WITH ANYONE

You win if all threats to the town are eliminated and at least one town-aligned player is alive.

You win if at least one member of your group is alive and all other players are dead (or if nothing can prevent the same)

III. The Rules:

As explained earlier, there will be forbidden actions. YOU CANNOT SHARE YOUR FORBIDDEN ACTION. If found to, you will be mod killed. If you commit the forbidden action, you will be killed from the game. You may speculate forbidden actions of others within the game. If asked whether your forbidden action is something, you cannot confirm or deny. You can also not soft or hint as to what your forbidden action is.

We also will be strict about ISP and replacements. If you think for any reason you MAY have to be replaced, do not sign up. We also reserve the right to deny anyone from joining, if we believe you will troll, isp, sub.

IV. Votes:

  • Votes must be made in the format Vote: Playername. Bolding is done using the tags [b][/b].

  • I will not take any other type of vote. If I can't tell who you're voting, I won't take it.

MOD NOTE Mori will be giving out a token prize to a player from each alignment who the hosts determined played best.

Retti u say u want us to lynch or not lynch you based off your posts instead of your role but I mean, I keep fluctuating on whether your posts themselves are town or whether you're buddying mafia and part of that is cuz i know you're a good player whereas I wouldn't lynch you today at all because you'll be able to potentially validate your role or be useful tonight :\

also i don't really see Babylonia intentionally being inactive as scum here and I thought their first post was kinda towny so I'd lynch Nicole/Pony before then

Because there's no way you can be certain that I am mafia, no matter how hard you want to claim you do. Making your reads clear not only helps you, but town in general, but I don't think I need to explain that.

The reason I asked for you to explain is not so I could defend myself, but I wanted to see how much thought you put into this read, so I could get an idea of your alignment.

But w/e, if you want to stay scum in my book, you're welcome to pull up a seat and make yourself cozy.

Your suggestion has been recognized, but it's not enough to get me to care to explain to you why I think your reads are bad and fake. If I think they are bad, therefore making you mafia in my opinion, then why the he*l would I try to explain that to you? Yeah, no. Hard pass.

You're kinda looking at it backward. You should consider the players and their content and then think about if it's mafia behavior instead of guessing how the mafia feel due the player-list. Hypothetically, with more players the mafia have more members on top of having more chances to be completely ignored amongst the chaos. If you were to look at that way, how do you feel could be Mafia? Something you tend to do that I've picked up on is that you make an observation but don't fully follow up on it, and while at first I thought it was scummy, I just feel it's part of your playstyle.


No, I've always thought it was scummy, but like I said before, I don't see the reason to not out a read at all, whether you're mafia or town. However, I looked back a bit, and she didn't say anything until someone mentioned her name, so I don't think she was really invested in this game to begin with. And when she was apologizing for not participating, it felt incredibly forced to me, like she was just making excuses, rather than actually doing some work. I was apprehensive about outting this, because I hardcore scumread her last game, and I ended up being wrong, but I can tell her behavior is way different.

Anyway, Damned, I wanted to trust you, but I don't see why you would say what I've been doing is utter garbage, when I've been trying my best to explain and make all my reads transparent. The only reason I feel like you would is if you're riding on Transcend's fos. And his fos in itself is iffy, because he admitted to grudge-lynching me before, so I wouldn't be surprised if he was doing that again.

I know, I didn't think it was possible, but I don't see why else someone would keep saying they'll try, and just not do it. Even as maf, you can at least sheep someone or w/e. But, I've also reconsidered the fact this is a larger game, so mafia might feel nervous about posting. It's hard to tell. x.x

How do I explain a that uh

Last game I don't think they were nearly as pessimistic, (more ate this game, half their content is ate this game) and I think they at least tried to pitch in (I think I saw them comment once on q read near the start, and when I asked their oppinion on a read later they avoided it)

That is an extremely unlikely forbidden action from a mod and game perspective. I talked about it earlier but forbidden actions are probably just restrictions or tied to some mechanic, outing reads isn't one of them because then they wouldn't really be able to do much, unless they were a treestump lol

Another thing on my mind is Nat's behavior, which I'm not sure about either. She's taken a much more passive approach and one that is instead focusing on disagreeing (or at least showing disagreement) towards people but not really much else. It's pretty much barebores play and I dunno if she's just busy or something but if I look at all her posts that's what they essentially amount to. I thought her vote on Ideal early in the game was good and I've been giving her all the chance to get to her reads more in-depth or generally anything, but it hasn't come.



Calling out people I see being patently wrong is all I have the energy for, really.
