Welcome to Forum Mafia 19: Forbidden Actions!

Game is over. Ended on Day 5

Mafia wins! This game was ranked.

The mastermind's behind this game are Gerry, Mori and myself.

The game will be played like any other Forum Mafia game, with one twist! Every player will be given an action pregame. If the action they are given is performed, they will be Killed from the game, with their forbidden action being shown afterward. More information will be given under Rules.

I. The Schedule:

72 Hour Days. 24 Hour Nights

  • If you don't submit actions by the deadline I will consider you taking no action.

II. The Set Up:

  • There is no "possible roles list". I promise not to get too crazy.

  • Mafia will have Day chat. And will know each other's Forbidden Actions

  • You will get an Alignment PM. Town or Mafia and your alignment will not change.

You win if all threats to the town are eliminated and at least one town-aligned player is alive.

As explained earlier, there will be forbidden actions. YOU CANNOT SHARE YOUR FORBIDDEN ACTION. If found to, you will be mod killed. If you commit the forbidden action, you will be killed from the game. You may speculate forbidden actions of others within the game. If asked whether your forbidden action is something, you cannot confirm or deny. You can also not soft or hint as to what your forbidden action is.

We also will be strict about ISP and replacements. If you think for any reason you MAY have to be replaced, do not sign up. We also reserve the right to deny anyone from joining, if we believe you will troll, isp, sub.

IV. Votes:

  • Votes must be made in the format Vote: Playername. Bolding is done using the tags [b][/b].

  • I will not take any other type of vote. If I can't tell who you're voting, I won't take it.

MOD NOTE Mori will be giving out a token prize to a player from each alignment who the hosts determined played best.

But yeah Retti's bin sucks. "Hey soda your read on Himiko is good but it sucks and you're getting brainwashed by Damned" is what I summarized it as. Also him dismissing Impoetic and Himiko doesn't feel genuine.

Might give Himiko benefit of the doubt since I tr'd her last game as scum since everyone tr'd her and didn't wanna make a commotion. This time I genuinely have to read her. I still feel something's off but eh, vote's vain.

BTW, to the uninformed. pretty much all of my day 24 is a troll. thats why i suddenly use capitalized letters while talking to ripple when you can find on every other day i didn't.

i jumped on a lynch of you because your fos is pretty questionable imo; do you really think as mafia i was freaking out about one fos on me from ripple to the point where i started primarily focusing on them to try to get their read changed?

what motivation is there for it? i need one person to get them to change their mind or im in some sort of trouble? do i need to bring attention to myself by literally questioning them about it rather than ignoring it?

why would this honestly change myself to 'leaning scum enough to lynch for'

also, again, you brought up another point that just seems kinda weak for me in that you think i "jumped on a lynch of you because soda put you on his scum list".

no, i jumped on a lynch of you because i can't put myself in your shoes and think my actions honestly look scummy enough to be leaning towards a lynch, given that most of your list says "maybe scum, maybe town"/etc.

btw, i'd actually be perfectly fine with having a lynch between myself and shears today. i think they thought my page 24 would be a good enough "in" to push a lynch on me. like, why isn't your reason "i don't like how you trolled on this whole page which i think is more of a scum tactic" but rather a generic "your page 24 didn't come off as town". that statement is so bland and none of your reads have really had any substance

don't you think that the fact that I spent several long wallposts trying to explain what i meant might indicate I do have something in mind when I say that the reasoning wasn't logical? I did know what I was trying to say, but that doesn't mean I knew how to say it. I'm sorry we can't seem to communicate.

And I'm not assuming you had malicious intent; I was noting that the fact you hadn't reconsidered your reads on either of us and the way you added that to the post pinged me, at the time, and was a potential thing to remember, which I would remember better by typing it out. I probably should try once more to take notes but ugh... I've failed so horribly in the past.

And my read on denial came from his earlier posts and seeming pretty OK with whatever which just reminded me of how I've experienced some of his EM games where he was mafia.

I just didn't think any of your pg 24 came off as town and I think it's weird how when you were fosed before you were like "explain your reads" and when I did it you jumped on a lynch on me because Transcend had put me on their scum list. But honestly it wasn't a hard fos on you I just threw it out there.

Either way, I think I still would prefer an Ideal lynch.

Also honestly wouldn't mind a Nicole lynch at all they have been useless and I seriously can't see how people can even null-townread them

i feel that denial isn't putting in full effort into scumreading, they have mostly been responding to other people's posts and giving helpful comments or answering questions- this is a horrible comparison but. I think they are being like Nicole (fillering) but they are better at looking like they are actually contributing (with some exceptions ofc I'm not saying they are all filler lol)

I realise this is more of a gutread (I'm a hypocrite and I'll embrace that fact) but it's the best read I have right now so I'll go with it

And yeah, I added Ideal and you at the end of my post, because I already explained my scumreads on you, and I wasn't going to explain them again. However, I think some of the people here need clarification, but it's weird you're immediate to assume I had malicious intent based on the wording of your post.

Yeah, because I tried to question you about why exactly my read was poor and illogical, and you have yet to give me an actual legit answer. It was all confusing, and I felt like I had to sit there for a couple minutes to try to get an understanding of what you were getting at. Sometimes, it feels like you don't even know what you're talking about yourself, so you have to try and falsify reasoning. Not only that, you tried to generalize my read, which mafia tend to do to make town appear less legitimate.

Like in all honesty, saying things like "your reasoning is weak/illogical" are such easy things to say as mafia, because a lot of time it's subjective. They're things that are easy to manipulate.

But I also realized it's possible that I was being stubborn, so I was planning to give you time to change my mind, but you have yet to say anything that changed my mind. However, I also feel like there's no point in arguing with you, because I have a feeling no matter what I say, you're not willing to see things from my perspective.
