I mean it sounds dumb but people I've talked to just said they challenged themselves each and every time they had a negative thought or were feeling down and it's really exhausting but even if you dont believe it or have the willpower you just try and challenege everything you're saying, it sometimes helps to look at other people and what you'd think if someone else was in the same situation as you etc

I can get rid of anybody's depression with just 15 minutes of talking. Try me if anyone needs help. I do this on daily basis at my workplace. Not joking.
The best thing to do to _attempt_ to overcome depression is to not let it take over you, for starters. I know it seems like that's possibly the hardest thing to do when you're undergoing depression, but it's the most important step to take and remember doing. A lot of people love and care for you-- even if you yourself don't see it-- and they would hate to see you bring that amazing person down because of depression. Secondly, don't take those who say, "Ah, it'll be alright." seriously because, well. When you're trying to seek for help in a depressed state, the truth is that that answer can only worsen it since it's most likely going to frustrate and anger you.
All in all, just be surrounded by good people. If that isn't working, find a good book. Play some relaxing tunes and pop out a writing book, maybe. Jot down what you're feeling-- maybe even turn it into a song or poem. If you're comfortable, share it with someone else. It'll not only help you, but it will give your friends a better idea of how you feel and possibly increase the chances of them being able to help more. I find just calling someone and talking helps a lot. Just the sound of someone's voice makes you feel slightly more secure.
Anyways, I do hope you feel better. I may not know you, but you seem like a great person and deserve the best. Take care of yourself.
i once went to a psychiatrist on this first time evaluative freebie kinda thing trying to get drugs, and she brought in her other lady psychiatrist friend, and it was like a funny game of epicmafia, me trying to wear the two of them down into giving me a prescription. i did not win tho lol. the whole thing was way too funny for me to pull off any sort of act of being depressed
i couldnt think of a positive synonym for tolerate but the best thing someone can do for you is listen and if they're a good person they won't treat you like the burden you shouldn't be even though you feel like one
the worst is when youve had a great time over a period of days then wake up the next day with no innate desire to exist but good people who accept and tolerate (but not necessarily understand) seem to be a decent help
that is no problem at all dude lol. i got a ticket to electric picnic last week and was torturing myself over what i was gonna skype you. another time mate
the answer for me was praying to god the meds were working and travelling and socialising. it was easier than it shouldve been though cause all i had to do was play video games with people and loving video games made that easy.
when i was a kid, like 14 or something, in the back of class one day i took the blade out of a pencil pointer and carved my name into my arm with it. it was pretty nuts, but looks cool af now when i have a tan lol. but if ur a kid, it gets easier dudes. that was me sort of daring pain, and i was always fighting and whatever the fck too, never stood down from anyone. that was me insisting upon myself through the pain. but it gets a whole lot easier and less insane lol. you'll find more and more good in life as you get older, and the bad will sort of just fade away. and if you don't, try harder
