Do you talk to the same people you talked to last year? The year before that? Perhaps even the year before that? Do you go from group to group on a regular basis and build strong friendships with people over a short amount of time, and then on to the next one?
To be fair to Carly, she kinda stopped making conversation with just about everyone once she started school. Her life took quite a drastic change about 2 years ago, so it might have had something to do with that.

And you like to wave it in my face when you know something I do not! It's like waving a bone in front of a dog!
Carly is a great person, and I've actually talked to her about a lot of personal things. From what I remember of you in Comp lobby, you were a troll for the most part, so if you haven't had any recent out-of-site contact, then that might be why.
Also, the people in comp lobby were a lot more mafia-minded than those of main lobby. Main is more about cliques and politics than comp ever was.
I didn't have any out-of-site contact because I changed my skype & started to focus on things regarding the real world. Sometimes I would still talk to Carly about school and stuff, but I'd be busy. I doubt no one gets really worked up about trolling on an online ruby mafia game, to the point they stop contacting you.
Agreed. This is why I very rarely become good friends with people that can't handle banter
Anyone that can't handle banter is no friend of mine
You handle banter well to be fair.
I'm rather poor at it but like to think I make up for it with my other outstanding qualities :D
Go on...
well I'd like to think I'm a loyal, patient, and caring friend. My closest friends could call me and wake me up at 4am and not pi$$ me off (provided they needed to talk to someone). I'm a deeply emotional person which means i can easily empathize with other people
Yeah but you're also a massive gossip queen and feel like you deserve to know everyone's business otherwise you get upset. Typical gaylord.

Well yeah, and based on my experience with Overwatch, the only time people tend to use the voice chat is when they're shouting a torrent of abuse at each other. I love it though. I just pretend to be a continental European rager with terrible English.
Have a good day everyone. Like always Harry, I have a 13 hour drive today :P

The only mates I've really kept in touch with from games in recent years are the 2 people I had on my go4lol team. I played WoW: WoD for a few months too, and have kept in touch on a very slim basis with 1 or 2 stragglers there as well.
Other than that, I have great friendships with people I've known for like 15 years from the old Blizzard games. I think this is why there's such a big difference by the way in which people can converse with one another in gaming these days.
I definitely feel like this is something developers should be addressing though.

If I have someone I actually like I'll stay and annoy them for as long as I can

Making friends on Call of Duty is not possible lmao even if you manage to make one if you keep playing the game together someone will drown in salt
Nah, I still speak to one guy and one girl on a fairly regular basis simply because our personalities are so compatible. At one point there was a group of four or five of us and we were probably the biggest group of knobheads online playing together. Now there are just two of us that speak, whilst none of us play often.
Most games with voice chat also have voice chat because the game is very fast paced and typing or anything else is really slow, so really there's usually not enough time to talk about anything besides the game and establish a friendship.
Well, the only way you're going to have a decent conversation from anyone with a game these days is if you're part of a team which uses voice communications. The thing is, most of those environments turn sour as soon as you start losing games.
