yeah man, it feels like ages ago. I've only been at this job now for 18 months, but i feel like i've aged 10 years.
Not even really about the bump in salary, more so about longevity and doing interesting work. There's not a lot of depth in HR and unfortunately there aren't too many smart people to learn from in the field I've found.
HR is kinda like being a mod in real life - no one likes you.

it's been a wild, tedious, ride. I still have flashbacks from all those job interviews you used to go to. I'd say grad school is your best option to get that bump in your salary. As for your dilemma ol' pal stick with what you like not where the money's at.
Work's been alright. Kind of a grind. Debating my options for a next move. Feeling like I've topped out in my current position. A bunch of the senior leaders want me to do sales, but I'm thinking of going into software development instead if I abandon HR. Lots to think about, but overall it's good.
