This riddle became so popular in my country later so I'm gonna tell u it and let u try to solve it xD
Here we go
A money thief had a fake 100 $ he went to a shop and bought from it's owner a newsletter that costs 10$ as he gave the fake 100$ to the shop owner the shop owner didn't have 90$ he had only solid money so he went to a cafe and gave it's owner the fake 100$ solid and took ten 10$(which means 10 x 10 = 100 x3 ) then the shop owner gave the thief the rest of his money which are 90 $ then after a while the cafe owner came to shop owner and told that 100$ he gave to him is fake so the shop owner gave him another 100$
How much did the shop owner lose?
(I shall answer it after a while xD) if you are confused write in the comments and I will answer (i'm not that good at writing in meaning xD)
Vilden, you agree with his answer too. We all came to an understanding (me, Arcbell, and me to Dylan about it) that the answer is 90$ plus whatever the amount of the magazine is. Some of us say it represents 10 so it's 100, others say lets just say 90$ because we can't speculate the magazine price, but in the end we all agree that 90-100 is the answer, and the opposing group is 190-200. Bye.
Bigpock, he didn't BORROW 100 from the other store owner, he EXCHANGED 100 dollars for 10 tens. So initially store owner is actually at a profit because he has lost nothing when he gives away fake money and gains 100 out of it lol. He only loses money when he has to pay back 100 to the cafe owner.
Nah jeff the point of the riddle is to catch people like Bigpock and Highspace and Denial who lapse the $100 gain at first and just think about the money that leaves the store owner's hands.
The newspaper is worth 5-9 dollars to the store owner, not 10 though because he may not have sold it anyways (if theres no chance of this he should've bought more from his supplier). Newspaper has no intrinsic or resale value to the store owner after the end of the day.
The answer is 100. The whole point of the riddle is to see if you remember the newspaper represents 10$. Otherwise it's brain dead math of 100-10 = 90 lol.

No no respectable buisnessperson always buys less newspapers than they can sell in a day, which is the only circumstance under which it's 100
Bigpock and Highspace read my final post with the math. If you still don't believe me u're trolling.

Also Bigpock, you're getting the extra 100 from the fake 100 dollar bill from the thief. Remember, when he exchanges it, the store owner has not lost anything.
