See to the fact that there are plenty of precedents that this type of thing was given GT vios under the current moderation.

See to the fact that this game was competitive, Dzanek is an experienced user who is well aware of the hipfiring rule and has a history of GT (a current GT vio) + this case was ruled as "borderline" with him being given only a verbal warning.

I believe this should have been given a violation for hipfiring as well.

dzanek talked about hipfiring before the shot.
The shot 15-20 seconds after the game started.
His post-shot reaction was how funny it was. It would not have been funny if it was a carefully assessed shot. It was funny because he hipfired and got it right.

Not only that, but the comment by Ethereal in the original report was "Don't hipfire again. This is borderline." She admitted to it being a hipfire, and the gave it no violation.

IIRC, dzanek has gotten similar violations before, too.

I do believe, again, that this was handled wrong and there is no solid argument for why this should not be given a violation.

Furthermore you can see in Betrayal's thread that Dzanek admits that his shot was through "luck" and that reads played no part in it, he then goes on to say that hipfiring should be trolling instead of GT. This proves it was a hipfire and that all the mods who tried to argue otherwise were in fact wrong. Big surprise
