transgirls in sports

over 8 years

this thread was locked some time ago but we never actually had a discussion on it. from past chatbox encounters, a lot of people were interested in it.

greetings epicmafia community,

I think we need a good discussion on trans-people in sports.

Recently, I was reading the news that a trans-girl had been allowed to play on the girls track team. However, this person began to break many previously held records established by other women.

Personally, I believe this is extremely unfair to other people born as girls - objectively, the male human body is stronger and faster than that of a female on average.

please discuss

should trans-people be allowed to play on sports teams?

the male body isnt technically stronger than the female body. it depends on different circumstances

Like someone who was born female and spent most of their life doing physical labor would be stronger than someone born male who just sat around

yes but usually people who are in the olympics are usually athletes by a young age

then they're probably equal strength wise, especially since they've been training for the same sports. events. whatever.

why would there be different olympics then

because people view women as weaker than men? idk?

sorry. im biased about this topic, so.

Even if they have an unfair advantage, they still have the right to be in sports teams.
They arent males anymore, at least they will be the mvps of their teams.

uh sorry lilin i don't exactly understand what you mean by that. i know they do need to continually be on hormones. but what i'm saying is that a trans girl who wants to transition will start taking female hormones or something to block the male hormones in her body. that's what would've been giving her an advantage over cis girls but taking the female hormones makes her body more similar to a cis girls.

really with the bathroom issue

just give them their own olympics

here's the thing:

it literally all depends on hormones. a trans girl that has started taking hormones no longer has the biological physical advantages that men have over women and therefore should easily be allowed on the girls team. with one who isn't on hormones, it's a blurry line and i'm not sure where i stand on it yet.

not an expert since im not one but i read this

trans people still need to take hormones even after theyve been on them and still it's what u IDENTIFY as not if u put an effort to

they advocate trans people using their converted gender's bathroom and then they don't allow them to be on sports teams lol
