While I draft up the next Sandbox model, throw in any suggestions for the lobby, mod vetting process, games, announcements, or anything that just doesn't warrant its own thread.
Have weekly or biweekly movie nights. It's summer now so more people will come and have a thread with movie suggestions and create a poll early on every week to democratically decide which movie should be watched over the weekend and sometimes choose it yourself. For example if I was doing this I would have done the first Purge movie last week and the second Purge movie this weekend to get people hyped and hopefully leave their house for once this summer to see the third Purge movie.
make a fricking post on a thread everytime you ban someone, stating the reasons, providing the proof and saying for how long, its not that hard, yet a lot of people didnt do it

[redacted]'s weekly "woah" should return under a new name because the old name is tainted and it should be kept updated because it's cool to find stuff that isn't mainstream on the Internet

Player of the Week should return with people being chosen for legitimately being good at mafia that week to give people a sense of fulfillment and worth and something to play the game for instead of sitting in the chat all day. A week long shoutout.
Delete the sandbox chat. 3/4 of the players in the chat don't even play games. Drama in forums, lobby comments, and in game is much slower.
Delete the chat and you delete the problem users.
While I agree the people who sit in the chat all day don't contribute anything to the community other than negativity, we shouldn't be driving people away from our lobby. Maybe there's a compromise. Maybe there are certain days we have the chat box or certain times.
Moderators should be chosen based off of their application and merit, but should not be guaranteed to keep their position. Give trial runs to the chosen moderators and if they mess up too many times during the trial run then replace them with someone else.
We should have a variety of setups featured. Official, 5am, 3rd party battle royale, a setup with all roles that actually do something, an 8 person setup, a 25 person setup, other interesting setups people can suggest in a thread.
I think for threads like what MeetTerry posts, we should have an option to have serious replies only like on AskReddit to avoid offending someone by joking:
