wealth requires precision engineering. it is incompatible with democracy to a large degree, though we may maintain human values. democracy is only a stepping stone to what's matter-of-factly right. once that is achieved, nobody should be thinking for it to be otherwise
europe was pretty right, or perhaps there was some argument to be made for its dissolution in its entirety, to let the powerhouses of the eu generate wealth for the region unburdened by the poorer countries (and which would be a pretty monstrous argument to be making, mind you) - but not for this lol. this is literally the biggest gamble, and probably against the longest odds, that anyone has ever made. europe ain’t going to crumble if it doesn’t want to, and it most probably won’t - it’s going to swallow up britain’s wealth
the british people have really fcking misunderstood globalism here i think. there ain't no british empire anymore, like what used to be, where all wealth was generated in-country. u guys are living in the past big time fcking lol.
