Hey folks, it's BearGuru here. I wanted to say some things to get them off of my chest. This does not in any way display the mod team's opinions as a whole, it is merely my opinion. Soon after I post this I will move the current active threads to the Mod Forums.
Regarding Sammie:
SHE is a human being as well, and everything you say that is offensive to transgendered people will be offensive to her.
Most of what is on the forums right now on this matter is sh!tposting, which is fine-- until it isn't. I fear we are approaching the line where it becomes hurtful, harmful, and damaging to not only Sammie but the community.
Epic Mafia moderators are not divine entities. So she is a mod. So what? So she gets to do reports and benefit the community. It helps with cheating investigations. Her being a moderator is irrelevent, she is mostly going to do the same thing she did as a role mod.
That being said, I do not think Sammie is going to be a good moderator for epicmafia in the long run. She is not a team player, but that is just my observation.
Regarding the Mod Team:
You have tried everything. You moved a thread that was hurtful to the mod forums, which was the correct call. When the community went into uproar, you just had to deal with it. The alternative was to let the damaging thread go on unmoderated, which is not doing your job.
Cody is a brand new admin. He is getting used to the job and for the community to surge against his decisions this early has to be demotivating. This site cannot survive if everybody in power is yelled at, called a child, and targeted.
Regarding me:
What I did earlier was crappy. I made hurtful comments that have affected people and really hurt them. I am sorry for what I did, and if that means stepping down as a Role Moderator I will do that.
Again, this is not the statement of me as a moderator, it is a statement from me as a person.
Regarding the Site:
Lucid owns the site. If anything needs to be done, you message him. If you disagree with something strongly enough, you message him. Do not take to the forums and spew publicly hurtful comments because all it does is make you look immature and hurt the person who is being targeted.
If you destroy anybody who comes into power, it will ruin the site. Very few people actually want to moderate the site, and that number is getting smaller every time something like this happens. Please think twice about whatever you are posting.

This is a joke. To those who have been here since '09-'10, does anyone remember Orbneko (or a name v similar)? One of petri's original accounts. I don't care that Petri now has the added responsibility of going through reports (because in someway that means she's reformed), or that she's identified as a transgender (because I don't care), but we all do know that Petri over the past millennium has shown dangerous behavior on this website.
I must've forgot the caveat where it was all legitimized through playful trolling and a renewed sense of being. lawl k lmfao.
the irony is that when cody got adminned i pm'd him asking if i needed to resubmit an app or if they still had my old one from last year on file, because i was kinda itching to mod again. safe to say that any interest i had has evaporated
legit, are there that few mod apps that the admins have to pull from the literal bottom of the barrel? i for the life of me can't believe that there were no better options available than someone who cheated, hacked the site on multiple occasions and was banned for a period of time

Pedophiles should not be modded. Reformed or not. It sets an awful precedent. I'm alright with them using the site normally.

To answer "what can petri do as a mod that she can't do as a normal user" and to anyone who thinks petri is "reformed"
The people protecting petri here are either his friends (dave, kerry, etc.) or another mod (mods usually protect each other) or a post-2011 player (probably a petri alt themself)
Here's 2 good reasons why Petri should be demodded but can be a regular user on the site:
1) She's just going to act like she's reformed and then one day she'll figure out all the hidden mod links and destroy the site. There's precedent on this when she was indexcards' account, she was modding like a normal mod did and then one day she spammed the site with p*rn and deleted a bunch of threads. Just one example of what petri as a mod can do - she can reset the round on the last day or DQ a user on the last day to screw users out of trophies.
2) The whole "paedophilia" - Mods can see more than just a normal user. They can see email domains for instance. Some of the young users on this site have used their school email domain to register an account. This means petri now has access to this and can locate certain young users.
My guess is petri won't do anything drastic for now and will play it calm until a few months later or until she gets promoted to admin, then she'll start to destroy the site.
someone said somewhere that petri had a great "work ethic" as one of the positive reasons to her being a mod. that might be true but if you were there back in the days you would know that petri would be reporting users for breaking rules whilst breaking the rules herself. who remembers the "Lookout thread" where petri would continuously post in it whilst being on the lookout thread herself.

Should note that I don't really care whether or not they mod, I really don't care about the administration of the site, but I do care about setting the record straight: They are lying when they claim to be trolling. Make no mistake.

I could do a very long most but anyway I'll address some of the things said in this topic
Cody and Sammie may be new but they should know what they were getting into when they choose to me a admin and a mod they made a few mistakes now it's up to debate if you should cut them some slack or not but it should NOT be dismissed it's like if you were new to a job and you forgot to clean or burned something no one would just dismiss it you would get a stern talking to or even fired
Saying if you have a problem head to Lucid is flat out stupid he doesn't really care about this site as much as he should and if people saying problems are a huge thing we have a thread for that or maybe make some mods try to handle that
The bottom line is no one is perfect yes but just because your new doesn't mean you should be treated differently than anyone else on the team
