Hey folks, it's BearGuru here. I wanted to say some things to get them off of my chest. This does not in any way display the mod team's opinions as a whole, it is merely my opinion. Soon after I post this I will move the current active threads to the Mod Forums.
Regarding Sammie:
SHE is a human being as well, and everything you say that is offensive to transgendered people will be offensive to her.
Most of what is on the forums right now on this matter is sh!tposting, which is fine-- until it isn't. I fear we are approaching the line where it becomes hurtful, harmful, and damaging to not only Sammie but the community.
Epic Mafia moderators are not divine entities. So she is a mod. So what? So she gets to do reports and benefit the community. It helps with cheating investigations. Her being a moderator is irrelevent, she is mostly going to do the same thing she did as a role mod.
That being said, I do not think Sammie is going to be a good moderator for epicmafia in the long run. She is not a team player, but that is just my observation.
Regarding the Mod Team:
You have tried everything. You moved a thread that was hurtful to the mod forums, which was the correct call. When the community went into uproar, you just had to deal with it. The alternative was to let the damaging thread go on unmoderated, which is not doing your job.
Cody is a brand new admin. He is getting used to the job and for the community to surge against his decisions this early has to be demotivating. This site cannot survive if everybody in power is yelled at, called a child, and targeted.
Regarding me:
What I did earlier was crappy. I made hurtful comments that have affected people and really hurt them. I am sorry for what I did, and if that means stepping down as a Role Moderator I will do that.
Again, this is not the statement of me as a moderator, it is a statement from me as a person.
Regarding the Site:
Lucid owns the site. If anything needs to be done, you message him. If you disagree with something strongly enough, you message him. Do not take to the forums and spew publicly hurtful comments because all it does is make you look immature and hurt the person who is being targeted.
If you destroy anybody who comes into power, it will ruin the site. Very few people actually want to moderate the site, and that number is getting smaller every time something like this happens. Please think twice about whatever you are posting.
There you have it. I will be moving the other threads to mod forums shortly. Please engage in CIVIL discussion here. Have a good one.
i'm sorry but like i've said pedophilia's the one thing that manages to get under my skin and i haven't seen much to dissuade me from seeing sammie as that
It's funny how absolute people are with this position despite not having evidence other than comments from someone known to be a liar.

man this really makes the whole adsense thing a null point now
i guarantee you if you ask any user if they want someone who hacked the site numerous times to mod they'd say no. most users don't know of the situation
Do you not understand that you should not be promoting people who have admittantly harmed this site and its users recently, its been less than 2 months since the last incident.
Its disrespectful, not to mention, they've been provided multiple chances in the past and have a history of throwing those chances and abusing those positions of power
I don't think these individuals's "qualifications" really are any different from most users considering what exactly the mod team needed which is someone who can carry out reports competently and has read the rules and knows how to play well with others. this is a safety thing for both these people not a social thing, obviously people are uncomfortable when they feel their safety is being threatened and you're completely disregarding that especially when you say things like "it's just the less than 20 vocal people that are upset about this" when clearly it's not. i think 5 threads and counting of countless pages of most of the extremely active user base should be able to tell you that.
I believe that the actual number of unique users who have expressed a dissenting opinion on this matter is no more than 20-30. Numbers aside, I've already addressed the safety issue and all I ask at this point is for a little bit of trust in me and my ability to make decisions. If it turns out that my decisions yesterday were for the worse, then I will react, apologize, and admit my mistake, but while the two people that I have just recently appointed to be moderators perform their job well, I would appreciate it if the community were to stop antagonizing them.
You said you would serve the community and their interests and now you want the community who KNOWS better who has actual experience with the harm these users have cause who have been here and active throughout to ignore the damage they've done and the fear they are provoking. That's completely unfair.
