Season 5 was an awesome season with our winner Reamix! We had some sad departures leaving the EMI Judges table, shout out to Kam and Luis4rod for their hard work and service. Thank you for all of those who participated, you are all so talented and we would not be able to have this without your amazing voices. No amount of thank you can be said to our judges who worked very hard and were so dedicated to helping and giving their all to our singers to improve each week.
As an eliminated contestant please leave gracefully. With that being said, it might shock you that there are other genres other than american top 40. Some of our judges do not live in america and may or may not listen to teen pop music. As host of EMI we will not be revealing the judges placement. If you have any questions about your audition entry you are more than welcome to ask but your pointed nature towards any judges comments and critiques is not welcome and approaches breaking rules in EMI. Since you are well aware that your entry was not up to par and basically sounded like Donald Duck excreting feces. I suggest you take one of the several seats provided for people onlooking this competition. your personal salted feelings regarding your entry and elimination will not be welcomed. it truly exposing you as an ignoramus and not to be an ideal contestant, lacking sportsmanship and fun. EMI is a positive environment so please if you plan on sticking around cut that behavior out<33
well I'm just responding to one of the judges, don't judge if you can't take criticisms on your judging. That is all. I already said I know it was complete trash but that judge definitely knew what the song was.
:0 o man bruh this theme is totally out of my comfort zone.....man....i didnt even know that was like a thing...when are we gonna have punk as a theme..
:0 also i just realized i never addressed the reason why i do acapella?? my computer's audio output is hecked up and the only device that actually plays sound that i have access to is my phone... whenever i record with my phone, the instrumental is stopped..
As a former judge now just enjoying looking at the results each week as a fan I will say, don't take what the judges say offensively. They are each trying to be honest and all have good intentions and want to help you improve. None of them are going out of their way to be rude. If you can't take criticism then don't put your work out there to be judged. That is all. I am thoroughly enjoying the entries thus far and keep up the good work y'all :)

i'm so bummed that this is the last season, i only just discovered this now and wish i could do it again in the future :(
Okay I will admit, I completely forgot about it until the last 48 hours then I decided why not just go for it at like 12am when everyone was sleeping and just rushed it which looking back was not the best move, but I want to know who the fck said
"Sorry i didnt know what you were singing at all. You sounded like you were mumbling everything. Maybe a backing track wouldve helped you with pitch because you had major pitch problems."
like you definitely still knew what I was singing, even if it was at midnight, unless of course you were hiding under a rock. I can accept that the audition was trash because it was, no excuse. this was one of the worst things I've ever done, but you definitely know what the song is.

Mfw judges thought my guitar was a backing track :^)
when i picked out the theme, i thought about how the songs back in the 1930s and 1940s had that soft, jazzy and romantic 'feel' in their songs like theyre love songs so i guess as long as the 'feel' is there, its fine coz thats what i had in mind when i proposed the theme

EMI6 TWIST: the first person to win the first round gets haunted by ghosts and the next person to win the 2nd round is the next person to get haunted until there is one person left standing. BOOM
ow my. i was recording a song for this round and when i listened to it after i finished, the audio was good and i can hear myself singing and then suddenly it stopped and there was static and then i was like....OH FLASHBACK TO THAT ONE SCENE IN THE CONJURING WITH THE RECORDING AND THE DEMONS. so i turned off my computer and bye, i aint dying tonight
