so basically bernie is going to the convention to make hillary agree to adopt some policies, which is like giving a hungry fat guy a donut if he agrees not to eat it.

that means your black and white choices are richest guy to go bankrupt four times and satan

now, if we elected jill stein, the benefits are just too good to be true:

  1. shatter the two party system, and green is the most fitting color because it completes the three additive primaries

  2. get most people to stop b****ing about voting for women in future elections because v*gina

  3. basically the same policies as bernie sanders, so basically bernie sanders

  4. an actual doctor none of that dr seuss bullsh*t

As much fun as it is to think in hypotheticals, neither Sanders nor Stein can win at this point and discussion about electing one of them is pointless. And if we're talking about shattering the third party system, Gary Johnson is the only one even remotely close to that.

The question for the Third Parties is "is the goal to win or to bring national attention to our party?" For example, many Libertarians always chicken out every election cycle when it comes to voting for the party because they don't want to "waste their vote." However, Gary Johnson is polling at 10% at the moment, and if he gets higher than 5% of the vote in the general election then in 2020 the Libertarians will receive the same federal funding that the other two parties receive. If he starts polling at 15% then he'll be included in the national debates.

There's more ways than winning to influence and change the political system.

Exactly. Vote for who you want, I may not agree with the Green Party but it's your right to vote for them. If people start voting for who they want and stop buying into the fear tactics of the two big parties, then they'll stop having so much power. HRC is the devil, and Trump is the boogeyman.

Jill Stein is a dumb panderer. If anyone read the interviews and the AMA she put up on Reddit the other week, anyone would tell she was a vulture that was trying to take in the politically naive and uninformed.

Her policies are designed to pander and sound good to low info voters.

Nothing of Bernie's policies are good or even possible.

Her AMA was so cringe, she honestly does not know what she's talking about.

People complain Trump isn't qualified but they're willing to support a nut case like her? Yikes

so whats the point in promoting a candidate who is just like a candidate we already have

The point is that Bernie Sanders cannot win, because Bernie Sanders isn't going to run as an independent and it's a mathematical impossibility for him to win the primary without all of the superdelegates switching to him.

However, I'm with PeePee on the Libertarians. Also, the current Libertarian frontrunner Gary Johnson shares about 90% of views with Bernie Sanders (the area where they disagree is primarily economics, so it really matters on what you prioritize.)

Also also, before anyone says hurr durr Libertarian party what's that lol irrelevant, remember these facts.

The Libertarian Party is the third largest political party in the USA. The Green Party is somewhere in the 4-6 range. Gary Johnson, the likely presidential candidate (they still have to go through a convention to pick the candidate, but Johnson is ahead in delegates and polling), currently polls at 10%. This seems like a small number, but if he gets 15%, he will be automatically invited to the National debates. Jill Stein has never polled above 1%.

Also people who hate Trump cuz he's rich forget Hillary Clinton is just as rich, only she hides it. She gets paid like 250k to speak for an hour to wall street execs, has been accused of charity fraud, and basically takes money from the shadiest of people.

Jill Stein is a nut, and wants to control America even more than it already is. Her environmental policies go wayyyyy to far, and she is a socialist like Bernie. Not good for the economy.

You're forgetting the Libertarian party (Yellow Party). Also, you should know this foxie, but going bankrupt when you are rich is completely different then going bankrupt as a normal person. Going bankrupt as a normal person is just declaring you can not pay your debts, and basically getting all your stuff repo'd to pay it off. As a rich person, you are re-allocating your investments, moving money around, bringing money back in that you had offshore, and liquifying your assets.

Why declare bankruptcy? It basically gives you a breather while being sued or if an investment tanks, allowing you to have some time to figure things out. Like Trump said, if these laws are in place and ready to be taken advantage off, why not?
