Devante, mate, I'm not sure why you think it's fair to compare the 2 reports as posted in the OP. 'Hateful Comments' isn't the 'which words you need to avoid' rule, it's a violation for comments which are hateful. If you actually read Boodler's game, you would notice the clear difference between Giga's report and Boodler's report.
Pretty much every other one of Boodler's lines is capslock rage of him attacking other people, and excessively using the C word, calling people spastics, and calling people 'aspies' (I had to look the last one up, but I was pretty sure it was safe enough to assume that it was related to Asperger's).
since what i said has never been hc and that's all that matters.
This is honestly so ridiculous that calling someone a spaz is considered HC but calling someone a derivation of r******d isn't. Any derivations in the past have been considered HC Wasn't Mongoloid even HC? derivations of the n word are hc derivations of the r word have always been hc
It's blatant favoritism and protecting mods from the rules everyone else has been subjected to. That's all there is to it.
Calling someone spaz is hc but not f***tard and handicapped wow

Basically giga used to report people for saying the r-word indiscriminately and used to auto vio it (i think) as a mod and now its kinda funny
i never did that

giiga you never told us what ftard meant
classic dave, sidestepping the point
i'm not gonna reply to you about this anymore, since what i said has never been hc and that's all that matters. you're trying to turn this thread into "giga is a terrible person" which is honestly borderline harassment. what is hc in your head is not how the website moderates it. i already said more than once that if the word f*cktard was made hc tomorrow, i'd stop saying it
Making a list would just have users go out of their way to go around it. So that would be pointless.
>go around it
you mean if i called u mentally challenged instead of a r'etard? do u people realize this is the internet? you arent internet police. you are em moderators
the only way to win an argument like this is to be blunt. you can't strictly censor a community on the internet without tumult
totoris comment basically sums up the problem with hc moderation on this site
So why are you worried if they go around it? Insults are part of the game. The very essence of this game.
Some people be like
"OMG, he called me dumb, it is quite similar to the word ********, since that word is banned, he went around it to call me dumb. I am so offended. I still want to play this game of Mafia where the motive is to kill each other, but I can't be called dumb even if I kill my own team mate on purpose"
Giga on the other hand used the term "handicap" in the same way that I would be a "handicap" on the Lakers if they put me in for one of their starters. He was not devaluing the worth of actual handicapped people through what he said.
Indeed.
It baffles me how often context is so readily ignored on this website at times. Some people clearly do not take it into consideration when reporting others.
As for f***tard, it has never been modded as HC. I don't know why I should be punished for saying something that has been ruled as non-HC in the past. If it was considered HC, I wouldn't have said it. Simple. Want proof? Find the last time I said "the r-word" in a game. It's considered HC, therefore I don't say it anymore. The same would apply for f***tard, if it was moderated as HC, which it currently is not.
As for the word "handicapped", it was blantantly obvious that I was saying that the person on my team clearly made my team weaker (i.e. they handicapped my team). This brings me to my next point.
Some people, quite clearly, don't care about the intent of others. No, instead, they attempt to paint their own form of internet justice, by pettily reporting everyone and anyone they see using words that aren't even considered HC on this website and by completely and totally ignoring the context in which those words are provided--even against people they know are innocent. It is, in my eyes, a perverted attempt to punish users who have done nothing wrong; a way to push their own agendas which are totally unrelated to the rules of this website and how they are moderated (and, the users reporting in this fashion know they are moderated).
I am tired of it, and I really think people need to think about context before blindly reporting somebody more often on this website.
