I've been taking lessons since August and honestly, driving is the WORST thing I've EVER had to do in my entire life. Everyone seems like they're completely oblivious to the fact they could end someone's life at any second.
I've told them I will never buy a car or drive after they force my licence on me, but they still insist that I need to get my licence now, and can't get public transport for the rest of my life.
I'm desperate to stop learning, even if I have to pay back all the money spent on lessons to them in the future when I have a job.
Any tips? pls help

i mean public transportation for the rest of your life is probably most viable/convenient if you live in a relatively big city like LA, Chicago, or NY, and even then, it's still convenient to have your own mode of transportation
i say just get your license while you have some of the xperience in your memory. if you're under 18 and struggling with severe anxiety regarding it, try consulting a school counselor
i was very worried about that going in the wrong direction

As a woman I un ironically confirm this

Maybe you should get psychologically tested op it's not normal to be concerned about killing other human beings while controlling thousands of pounds of steel travelling at high velocity.

I was gonna say write off their cars. Seems sweet has better ideas

If u hit and kill someone with your car you probably won't be made to drive anymore
I'm an environment freak too, but on the opposite side of the spectrum. I hate humanity and have come to the conclusion that the most impactful way I can cull it is to kill Earth.
Tell them that you are environmentally friendly and agree with Peta. Tell them walking is the only safe mode of transportation

Getting your license is probably your first step towards becoming an independent adult, so yea, just do it. If you don't do it now you'll have to set time apart for it later and it's gonna be really inconvenient to get to classes or your job when everyone else has something better to do.

I don't really have the same problem since I was quick with saying I didn't wanna take lessons for driving, and my parents accepted that.
1. I don't have the time nor the energy to do it.
2. I literally hate cars. I hate their existence. Cars and people who smoke in front of me are literally the top things on my "hate" list.
3. I'm kinda an environment freak. So cars are a big no no.
4. I can save the money for something else that actually matters to me.
