really impressed with this one. wasn't expecting much going into it though, to be fair. the animation is v good, story is creative (plot holes aside), and the music is always a delight to hear. there's a lot of confusion overall about themes here, i think, as it tries to talk about too much and sometimes ends up generalizing excessively.
still, the characters make Bantorra a great watch, and each story arc is really devoted to exploring the characters and their books, which makes for a truly worthwhile viewing experience.
if you like quality visuals and sound and most importantly, quality character development, then give The Book of Bantorra a shot.
Has anyone else seen Empire of Corpses yet and if so did it make a lick of sense to anyone else? I'd been waiting for this movie for awhile because it looked pretty damn cool but I think there must have been some issue with the fansubs. It was like I couldn't follow the story at all, and the story didn't seem complicated, just going by the actual anime and ignoring the subtitles.
You forgot to mention that Viz will be streaming all of Jojo's and Terra Formars as well soon. That's pretty huge news considering they may have also acquired home video licenses for those too.
i was pleasantly surprised by Night Raid 1931. though the explanation for their powers is never given, and some of the plot sequences are just too convenient or cliche, the story is entertaining, the visuals are solid, and the music is p darn good too.
Aren't Seven Deadly Sins and World Trigger just stupid daytime kid's shows? I watched the first episode of them and don't understand why they're liked.
