I think unranked games should all be in sandbox to make main lobby ranked games exclusively. They're taking so much space and they're useless I mean if you wanna play unranked go ahead have fun in sandbox but don't crowd the main lobby.
Another idea is to make a beginner lobby and a pro lobby.

we need more competitve mafia and we want it now. so change up the lobbies.
hey guys just coming in here to say that this is a bad idea
unranked games have no effect on ranked games

If the games feed was set to only open games by default, it would probably be good. There's not really much of a reason to see what other games are in-progress/done when you're looking for an open game.
Then add options for filtering unranked/redheart/goldheart games within the default list, along with entirely separate lists for viewing all in-progress games and dead games
Main lobby really doesn't need to be split actually

Is the clutter REALLY the real reason that people are not playing ranked or is that the excuse that would be the easiest to fix?
Tons of people are playing ranked from what I gathered by scrolling through about 10 pages of game history in the lobby, they're just not playing "good" ranked setups.
Plus again, if it really is just a clutter issue, then really all that's needed is a couple more filter options.
if in take me to church you lower the payouts to town 14 town, 60 ww, 22 angel i dont think people would play it that much cause it's pretty random setup and i would consider it a pointfarm tbh
It's just like reverse but a little worse.
Also, Felons. I don't need to argue it's pretty obvious they're overfilling. I'm pretty sure they can have their own lobby and still be famous.
in the last 10 pages illuminati has taken up a maximum of 2 out of the 12 setups on any given page.
you really have no argument here man.
Not just illuminati i mean unranked setups as a whole im just picking the popular ones that are registered so if we make an unranked lobby they are the most popular ones.

if you dont like this idea froce, instead of redoing a competition every 24 hours when it has ended, leave a period of a week where fp and others can be played. When round starts, setups are blacklisted but that's hard work for mods...
It's not hard work and they do that with.... gallis hunter...
I said blacklisting fnacypants is alright but i'd rather split lobbies cuz where will the new players learn? unless classic is making a comeback.

creating a sticky unranked lobby that isnt sandbox would remove about half the clutter in main
giving lobby owners the ability to halve the score payouts for a list of setups would maybe cut down the amount of plays these setups get by a bit, but they would still be played regularly

and unranked games are for people who don't want to play sandbox and want a closed setup but dont want to play serious as in ranked. An unranked lobby would make trying new setups impossible and would end up killing ranked and unranked lobbies and they would have to merge again. keep same lobbies and remove custom roles
Take Me to Church feels like it's just this generation's Shot in the Dark. That made me sound really old.

At the end of the day you put a blank sheet over the phrase "unranked setups"
If you mean you want a separate lobby for people who circle jerk in unranked games like party and illuminati then you might have a minute argument.
However that's not what you said in the OP which is why I told you that your idea is stupid.
Also those 2 setups are hosted pretty infrequently from what I recall and it's only a selected few people who pla it meaning only 1 game per session is even being hosted at a time (not taking up much space in the lobby)
i don't think you've ever had a good idea, come to think of it.
you should just stop
Thank you, for your constructive and positive contribution to this thread.
splitting the lobbies in any form is a stupid idea.
unranked games are the gateway to red heart games. putting them in a different lobby would just not allow people to advance from unranked to red heart (if they feel) , and they will never move on.
much like how it was with training and comp lobby.
theres our second hater
people dont learn anything from playing partyyyyyyyy or illuminati confirmed. although unranked fancy pants is decent in popularity people never play it as ranked.
if you argue that they benefit from learning what the roles do how does that make a bloody difference when all the roles thye need to know is villager, cop, mafia, doc, orc, gunsmith, and bomb?
if you're content with the current state of the site then you're wrong. its not good.
splitting the lobbies allow the advancement from simpler --> harder setups.
and making a lobby for unranked keeps the new players from it. so instead of being introduced to party setups, they're introduced to actual mafia.
