Today I had a motorcycle accident, dislocating my shoulder and breaking my collarbone with some nice road rash to boot. So from boredom of being bed ridden, I thought I would create a thread to compare scars with the members of this site.

My injury list includes but is not limited to; broken ankle, broken tibia and fibula (the tibia was a compound fracture), torn ACL, torn pectoral, numerous finger dislocations, broken check bone, broken nose, dislocated eye socket (those last three were all at once), multiple concussions, I have been stabbed twice and I had HIV for a day.

So feel free to guess the story behind the injury and add your worst injuries.

One time I fell off a jungle gym and I think I broke my pinky toe.
It hurt for about a whole week.

I've accidentally used this special kind of scissors improperly and split my hand in 2 pieces between my thumb and the rest of my fingers, and I snapped my arm in a bike race when hitting someone on their bike at a 90 degree angle, and I got a knife stuck in my leg.

Also get better soon Stickifingers, I've been in one motorcycle crash and it was absolutely terrifying. I didn't technically have a motorcycling license, so I'm glad it didn't end up being bad enough to require hospitalization because I would have ended up in a lot of trouble (I was an idiot no matter how you look at it).

Heal soon, I hope you have a safe and rapid recovery!

When I was younger I had a curtain rod go through my cheek, that required a nice round of stitches that had to be followed up with yet more stitches a month later (I got into some scuffles and apparently it reopened the wound).

I've been in a ton of biking accidents, the worst one being when I nearly had a handle bar go through my stomach when I was taking a ramp my father and I had built. I was trying to master a new tail whip (should probably mention at this point that it was a mountain bike) and somehow my front handlebars ended up perpendicular to me. It caused some minor internal bleeding that ended up scarring over (which, until that day, I didn't know what possible).

Finally, I've broken my left arm in an area that is up there with most painful breaks possible. I landed on my arm while playing with my little brother and it somehow broke my ulna just on the side of my elbow (so where the little ulna ends, it's kind of a little ball of bone on the inner side of the arm). It ended up twisting the ulna nerve (the "funny bone," so I felt that kind of pain constantly) when tendons dragged a piece of bone up my arm, I lost feeling in my little finger and ring finger for two years. After surgery my nerve was repaired, and my bone had been put back into place with 1.5" of stainless steel screw. It's currently the only thing keeping my arm from breaking again.

I've had a lot of other crappy injuries in the past, most of them involving climbing or biking, but I don't want to make a post much longer than this... I already waste too much time on this site as is.

Oh boy...here goes.

1. Attacked by my dog when I was young..had my ear hanging. Required plastic surgery.

2. My sister, cousin, friends and I were playing Freedom. We were running thru an alley and my sister pushed me in a pile of broken glass. Required stitches on both hands.

3. I was at a dance, and these two boys were messing around with all the girls. One boy was on his hands and knees behind me and the other boy pushed me over him causing me to break my wrist.

4. Went sledding..group of people were coming down the hill on a float and ran right into me. Caused me to go flipping over them and spraining the same wrist that just got done healing from the break.

5. My sister and I were playing this weird tag where you run with your pants around your ankle. She fell and got mad I was winning, so she pulled my ankle back causing my to fall and break my shoulder.

I play football(or soccer to you yanks) and i play as a goalkeeper..One day in training in i dived a little too close to the goal post and my right index finger collided with said goalpost bending until it was at a right angle to my hand..... :/

This sucks

I play goal too, when I was a kid (grade 6) I dove head first into it on the corner of it and was bleeding on my head, but I wanted to keep playing so I pretended nothing happened and acted like I was fine (it was under my hair)

At the end of the practice though there was blood all over my friend's gloves whom I borrowed them from. I was scared he'd be mad but he said "yooo that's cool" and didn't mind ~__~

It took me a while to be able to dive normally/confidently again though lol

Ouch ive only cut my knees pretty bad...I still play for my Town at U21 level...Ive sprained my wrist and fingers alot....Two months ago i sprained my right pinky and its still isnt the same size as the left but shoulder injuries are the worst tho...only happened to me once thankfully...

Speaking of uncomfortable things I was robbed on the street by two people with i think it was a tazer (could have been a gun but I doubt it) when I was in high school, they never took it out but I saw it in one guy's pocket when they were leaving (the one guy threatened to shoot me after I told him he's not taking **** from me)

I was with two of my friends who are slow so we could not run

However although I had $600+ worth of belongings on me the only thing they took was my leather gloves which i wasn't wearing. Probably because it was the first thing they saw in my coat pocket and neglected to check my actual pants pockets

I played high level rugby league for a long time, which gave me most of my injuries. It's a tough contact sport.

ur pretty too, zwink. someone should have killed him for u

I have had a few of the mafia douchebags I mentioned before tell me if I ever need someone killed come to them. That line makes for an uncomfortable car ride, reminds me that I am playing with animals basically.

I've rolled my ankle tons of times but I've never sprained it

I've never broken a bone

There was however a period where a part of my elbow hurt after banging it hard when it was touched for about a month and a bit but I never saw a doctor for it therefore I don't know what it was if anything other than a bone bruise

Oh I chipped part of a tooth as a child but it came back somehow, I need fillings for it occasionally though, but I never saw a doctor for a bone related injury

I think you need a bubble to live in. My only other injury, knock on wood, was in volleyball. I was blocking and the other guys foot was under the net on my side and I came down on top of it and rolled my ankle.

Happens to the best of us mate. I slipped on a wet floor, smashing my toe into the corner of a counter breaking it. Luckily toes are easy to splint and heal even easier, no doctor required.

Mine is embarrassing. I sprained my shoulder and was in a sling for 2 months for it. We get these big circular jugs Of water delivered to our house and I took one that was empty and laid it sideways on the grass and was trying to like balance on it going back-and-forth and I fell off and sprained my shoulder

Lacing up a boot again was what drove me to get through all my therapy. That and the pay check. Different people, different circumstances I guess.

I made a come back to play footy again, luckily. But gymnastics requires very acute movements, I feel for your sister. Injuries suck.
