Hello Sandboxers. Lucid is interested in making new roles, and I know you guys have a bunch of good ideas, so what I'd like to do is get a list of all of the best ideas in this thread and have a poll that you guys can vote on for lucid to make.
On an unrelated note, if you guys know of any bugs with existing roles, please PM me so I can test it out and forward it to lucid so they can get fixed
- At the end of every day, can choose one player - That player's role is revealed to the entire game - Doesn't attend mafia meetings, can't select mafia - Sided with the mafia
Gives mafia a chance to find and kill PRs, but it also clears town players. Risk vs. Reward
Seer: - Knows all mafia from the beginning of the game. - Mafia get an end-of-day meeting like Governor/Hunter/etc where they can all vote who they think is Seer. - If mafia guesses correctly, they win. - If mafia guesses incorrectly, the first to vote is revealed.
Making it a day-time meeting makes it so that if the Seer tries to shout out the names of the mafia before being lynched, mafia can still vote them and win.
Make it so that mafia can guess during the day too. They get a daytime no-chat meeting where they can vote and communicate with each other. All living mafia must vote for the guess to go through and once the third mafia hammers, either one is revealed or mafia wins.
No, because that's intentionally killing a town member which is never good.
If you want mafia to still guess Seer after they die, make it so that it is blue, but if there is only one blue in the setup it'll basically be autowin for mafia.
Making it take on a random role would give mafia a huge advantage because, say it takes on Cop. Living Cop becomes known somehow and mafia now have a 1/2 chance of guessing.

Cupid
-Picks two people n1 -Those two people are in love, and keep their roles but also act as lovers (They both die if one does) -They get a message d1 telling each other they've been matched -They both need to be alive at the end of the game to win regardless of their original affiliation -Cupid itself is townsided but also could work as a 3rd that wins if the two people they picked are alive at the end of the game.
Inquisitor - Meets with a selected person at night - Has a gun that can only be shot during this meeting and only once - Sided with scum
it's kind of like interrogator except it's actually used for interrogation (while gator is pretty much always used to kill people) since it can only kill once
lucid is it possible to make the night-raided tinkerer's gun (not the self-crafted one) reveal who shoots it? i think this would help balance this role a bit
