Blacklisting fancy pants is a freaking awesome step that you just took, mods. However, classic mafia is mechanically the exact same setup
Please please follow through with the awesome decision you have partially made and destroy the scourge that has plagued us for years instead of just one head of the hydra. Compared to what was expected, fancy pants has died with very little commotion.

I'm not saying take away all of the crazy red hearts setups. Just the ones that have become huge problems, like classic mafia was for years before fancy pants

just split training and comp again and then everyone will be happy
those were being spearheaded by comp players actually

you know what I think would happen to those players if you took away their pacifiers? I bet they'd move onto red heart setups that require scumhunting rather than play unranked games because unranked games aren't their demographic
LOL because fp was blacklisted, ranked players TOTALLY didn't start playing other "pointfarm" set ups

You know what the most incredible thing about this site is? Sometimes, people play mafia just for fun!

I don't claim to speak for all comp players but I do want new players to join my comp games after they learn the ropes on red heart competitive setups, which you can learn on very quickly if you try and in which no one yells at you

Classic is a literal coinflip, objectively and whether you like it or not. It does not help you get better. If you got good at jan 2.0, it is because you learned how to play jan 2.0 well. Please kill classic mafia
You do realize that by blacklisting the most popular red heart games most people who play ranked will more likely end up spending more of their time playing the unranked pointless set ups (if they don't leave alltogether) then playing the scumhunting set ups.
Rather than limiting what people can play, it's smarter to somehow make comp more appealing to newer players instead of banning things hoping that they *might* decide to try out comp in place of red hearts.
Good.
LOL so that solves little to no problems and only limits gameplay.....
I'm not convinced very many comp players actually want other people in their games, their motives for blacklisting all the most popular set ups are pretty confusing.

This is why you can't ban FP outright without putting forth effort into it not destroying the rest of the site.
CM is a decent mafia setup, but it's not a good community setup.

triumphant i've played 1 game this round with u that you spent all day 1 town reading me as mafia, clearly i'm pretty good
Alright, bronzie.

i mean i'm not gonna argue with u, classic is a fundamental setup, it teaches you the fundamentals, you cannot put someone who just started the game in a jan 2.0 game because they'll literally be utterly confused. You can however stick them in a classic game and teach them the basics i literally dont care what u think lol
