Before Trophy Games the Survivor Lobby had a points system similar to the rest of the site. You'd gain a certain amount of points based on your placement in ranked games and the first person to reach the point amount set at the beginning of the round would claim the Gold and the two players who were below them at that time would be awarded Silver and Bronze. This system went on for 5 trophies before ultimately being discarded due to people actively targeting the players who were closer to getting the Trophy relentlessly in games as well as other various flaws that arose such as players not having enough free time to participate in enough games giving those with more free time an advantage as they had more chances to earn points. Despite many efforts from hosts/mods to try and balance the system it was ultimately decided that round format would not work for our lobby and shortly after the Trophy Game format that we currently use would come to be, along with its own pros and cons.

"CONGRATULATIONS TO HEDGER IN WINNING THE GOLD TROPHY IN A CRAZIEST JURY VOTE OF 3-2-2 AGAINST VOICE AND WITHERED!

We removed Hedger from all the BLs and Voice beat withered in a 5-2 vote, so Voice will be receiving Silver and Withered will be receiving Bronze!

Those 3 not only managed to outlast 45 other players, but those 3 managed to reach to the final 3 in the first phase of the game together, then reached to the final 3 TWICE! And they did it together in the merge! Those 3 are truly deserving of trophies!

This game had 48 people, which is the biggest trophy game in the history! And it only lasted a bit less than 11 hours!

I would like to thank cjn104, jbomber, and evolpz for cohosting, and I would like to thank nattless and cammy for helping out with the modding, and the docs, and nattless for helping out when all other cohosts went to bed!"

Currently 39 people have trophied. Zeezo has a guaranteed final 3 spot in EMBB4 which makes it 40, and there's potential for 2 NEW people to trophy so by the end of EMBB4, we may have 42 people that have trophied.

Fun facts:

- Voice has the most trophies, standing at 5!

- hotjacket would have tied with him if it weren't for bad luck in bubbilng twice.

- jessys is the only person to receive one trophy from the Round format, the Trophy Game format and the EMBB format.

- EMBB is the only person to have more than one gold trophy and no other kind of trophy.

- Similarly, Gerry is the only person to have more than one bronze trophy and no other kind of trophy.

Congratulations to JohnBatman for defeating jess in a 3-0 jury vote! Also, kudos to nattless for 3rd place. They will be earning a gold, silver, and bronze trophy respectively. It was a massive 35 player trophy game - with no suicides. This game was met with strong players getting booted early, lengthy sessions of strategy and cutthroat action. Finally, we let the live jury members decide the victor.
