Let's just use this already existing husk

Someone can adopt it after editing it for a while.

Needed:

  • an attractive front page
  • fill in missing pages and make things link to each other
  • images (screenshots of the site/game, role icons, basic iconography)
  • newbie guide, cryptoguide, etc. imported from various places or from scratch
  • Pages about mods, the report system, rules and violations. Should also have some common etiquette guidelines
  • A page for each of the common comp setup roles

Maybe Lucid could send us a backup of the wiki if he has it, that'd be great, but even that's pretty outdated in some areas.

wikia is the only free one that uses wikimedia
i think wikidot is solid, but it doesn't use wikimedia

i mean, instead of updating the wiki, we could come up with an in-depth role description thread with small blurbs explaining what all of the most common roles do, and then also do that for common setups and stuff like that
there's more to learn than the roles. in fact i'd say roles are the most trivial things to put on the wiki.

blave's icons are standard for new players so they should be the icons used on the wiki =)

the wiki was great and all but it will take a lot of effort to bring it back. we already have the learn page, and everything not there we could probably put in forum threads in the Welcome to EM section instead. it would save a lot of time and effort

it was outdated and not being updated
