I'd say homophilia. If you're in the public sphere and you call yourself a homophile, then friends and enemies alike will understand that you find homosexuality distasteful but that you wouldn't deprive them of their basic rights, as, at the same time, you love your fellow man.
Is there a better word for homophobia? I think it's wrong for homosexuals to judge how other people feel about them if I'm "phobic" for how I feel about homosexuals.
