I literally beat out every viable player over the course of 2 rounds. I remember on you so hard after you try to harass me into voting wrong that you called yourself dodging me and reported me for camping you any time I joined your table. In case you forgot, you reported me for camping even though I'd join, you'd cry, I'd remake, and everyone would leave your table.
The only notable player since I ran has been Pranay and he's only a challenge is so far as I try to get people to think while he tells sheep what to do.

I say this lovingly Zovea: Lucid implemented training lobby, and thus ruined any chance of fostering good play for the duration of this site's existence. This problem is incorrigible, the damage has been done and typing 100 paragraphs about how bad it sucks (although it does, indeed, suck) will not fix it, because it cannot be fixed.

ur gay. Anyway just start spamming in the lobby its a fun setup, if you care that much. It would probably catch on
That's a pretty nahtzee-esque way of thinking; you can't really gas the bad players on a site that's ideally made for having fun. Yeah OK the mods could potentially be more strict when it comes to limiting (allowing?) setup choices throughout the round but when it comes to individual games there's not much you can do except go on a button-mashing-spree if they do a wrong move.
There's nothing being done to foster good play, rational thinking, or community. Comp should be a cummulation of these things, and the only way to get there is to have people playing setups that foster at least 2 of those 3 things. I talk harshly about training, but the simple fact is I played 7 games of a yak setup and the only down part was the damage that's already been done. I think given time, a yak setup could edge out FP since they are at their core what this site should revolve around.

SMGS isn't blacklisted.
yeah it is or was. It got decomped when town would always claim amnesiac and it was nearly impossible for mafia to win
If this wasn't disallowing the setup from being comped then he should have been clearer. "I think it's a bad setup but indeed allowed". Or don't answer that at all
They also didn't allow suppa magica whatever this round. I'm sure even though no one has comped it they'll ban SK vs Maf next time it's comped. They are also decomping setups that aren't tested etc.

Apostasy you can't doc yak anymore
In that case there's definitely no logical argument to ban yak from comp, but personally I'd like to see it banned anyway because I dislike it.
It is. I'm pretty sure Zovea has unrealistic expectations here.
What you /can/ do however, is not restrict play like mods keep trying to. It inhibits creativity.
A good start would be to lose the "trolling" rule, or at the very least ease up on it.
The problem with the trolling rule rn isn't really the rule itself but mods using it when a person didn't GT but used a different strategy that backfired, even though they didn't do it to antagonize etc.

DLYV was initially banned because Edark and I found a way to win every time by simply always yak/doccing each other.
If you enforce rules to prevent this yak is more viable than silencer/fiddler imo but still a bad role

Like, just for you guys who aren't as informed in EM history as myself, Zovea is notorious for being one of the worst/luckiest trophy winners ever and an incredibly poor player in general
And we have mods that have never even attempted to root out bad play in favor of good play. The main reason for this is that bad play stems from the point farmers and nothing has been done to curb the damage they do.

SDS ... isn't a particularly good setup dude. Stop talking while you're ahead.
Also Yak isn't bugged; just don't put it in setups that'll get bugged because of its mech.

that lucid has been told about yet decides to not act upon.

pretty sure most of the yak setups were banned due to bugs

The crazy thing about Zovea typing literally like 30 paragraphs about comp quality is that he isn't really any better than the average fancy pants player who votes randomly, just imo

"bad play" is inevitable, imo
It is. I'm pretty sure Zovea has unrealistic expectations here.

A good start would be to lose the "trolling" rule, or at the very least ease up on it.
It wouldn't be so bad if mods would actually work to curb bad play. However when you let bad play run rampant and refuse to do anything for comp while actively working against comp you end up where we are now.
What are you suggesting
In this thread 2 things have been posted as far as mod actions: A&D was blacklisted and Yak setups were banned.
There was no reason to do either seeing as both are alternative methods of playing the game game that should be fostered instead of pushed aside for more of the same pr roulette that's been the sole meta of this site since the original splitting of the lobbies. Setups are this site's soul. The soul of this site should not be CM/FP or derivatives of those setups.
When the soul of this site was 163 and SDS this site fostered competitors and intellectuals: Name the last legendary player. You've probably never heard of or even played with one.

attack me or my guy we are both legal to carry so you WILL get shot. so glad I live in a white area of the country. it is out of the ordinary to see a black person around here. this is about the most stupid thing I have ever heard. wonder just what Obammy thinks of this one? I really don't think any of us white folks are going to just sit by idly and let you all do your dirt. you are over stepping your bounds if you think you will get away with it.
