Do you write a non-analytical paper using "I think" or "I personally believe"?

Note: even with an analytical paper, please do not use first person pronouns. It is forbidden.

DO YOU?

And now that you've liked my post I can say that I've had multiple professors say the use of "I" is fine. Context of the paper matters

"i personally believe" and "i think" are gross opening sentences and those phrases are probably the only reason why "i" is discouraged in high school

I personally believe is redundant

there is everything wrong with "I"

o_____________o there's nothing wrong w "I"

reflective essays are the only time you should use the first person

papers that arent based on analysis/research isnt limited with the use of i o_o its already mentioned but reflective papers make the most sense when written in first person, and id argue that persuasive papers should include narratives too

WELL THE VOTES HAVE BEEN TALLIED!!

mhm edark it was about me saying i took a bunch of writing classes or something and teasing matty, eh not a big deal

anyway i mean, it's debatable and it kind of depends on what you're writing, but usually it makes for a much weaker argument, though not for everything if done correctly

there was one thing that was out of line to mention, which is why you deleted that post @_@

which one exactly?

It's not like Nicole is actually attacking me. She mentioned that she has taken a bunch of writing classes for the same reason that I've mentioned that I've taken a lot of writing classes to, to add to the discussion. We aren't secretly flaming each other or something. I think some of you are acting way too quick to pull the "wow how obnoxious" card tbh.

The moment I read that post I realized what an awfull person she must be IRL

...for jokingly bragging about how she's taken a bunch of writing classes? Do you realize that I've done the exact same thing? Okay then man lmao

wait have she actually studied WRITTING CLASSES for freaking 12 year in 3 different schools? holy what teh

i don't think i need to point out to you how horrifically stupid you're being for calling my girlfriend a horrible person because we tease each other about something trivial because it kinda speaks for itself tbh, if you wanna talk about it PM me.

Also Lux, I don't have a specific prompt, this is just a general question for papers that aren't based on analysis.
