When FPTP is leading to consistent coalitions anyway, it'll happen eventually.

Labour have tacitly supported PR before, too. Because going to PR will hurt the Tories more than it will hurt Labour.

Also, I don't think we'll have FPTP for more than another 10-20 years, because the top two are getting too few votes for it to be justified anymore. AV was a horrible bodge of an idea and the Lib Dems were idiotic for suggesting it instead of just full on PR a la STV.
