I've seen a clockwork orange. There are a lot of books I would probably love that are ruined for me because I already love the film (trainspotting, for instance)

I thought Ham on Rye was excellent. I like my literature bitter and misanthropic

yeah i mostly stuck with his poetry but his novels are actually really good :] i still prefer his poetry tho

ham on rye is super good, but it's not one of my favorites cus it's so depressing. i mean pretty much everything he writes is depressing but that one is especially. i think you should read post office bc it has more humor but it's still a pretty fascinating story. i think it's his best novel.

idk if you've read any of his poetry before, but i think you should start with the last night of the earth. it has "bluebird" which, while prob overrated, is still one of his best poems!! and also it's just a good book to start with :]

I've only read Ham on Rye and Hot Water Music. Vonnegut is the only author I listed that I've actually read absolutely everything by without exception.
