The mod-me and admin-me and I am so awesome attitudes are tiring me tbqh.
are you really surprised that the userbase of a site based around a game that requires you to convince others how great you are all have high opinions of themselves
i'm self-aware enough to know that i have huge problems restraining myself when it comes to forum posting and getting in arguments, but i also enjoy those things too much to give them up for being a mod.
i say we need an admin with a backbone who won't up and quit in 2 months.
I don't see jasprar stepping down that quickly without a massive drama event regarding him being involved. He has also yet to do anything impactfuly positive or negative towards the site.

the easiest way to remove the egos from moderating is to remove the faces from moderating. imagine a world in which bear couldn't constantly gloat about what a good mod he was, because no one would know which reports he did, or possibly that he was even a mod at all

I for one am aware that I'd be the worst mod ever. I'm the absolute BEST at being honest with myself.

i like when people talk about mods and admins who fit the current climate as if they shouldn't be the ones dictating climate instead of the wills of the idiot masses

i get this bizarre thing where people who i've never talked to (delicate, ark) inexplicably hate me and try to snipe at me when i have talked to them approximately 0 times and i've never experienced this on any other website or irl.
The issue here is the team, a rebuild would be good but the issue is throwing a load of new faces together at once can cause some problems, such as disagreements and lack of order, if it was to be done it should be done over a longer period of time rather than in one go.

People who put bad admins in their place don't necessarily make good admins themselves, though.
