yeah it's difficult to make a setup that has PRs that all benefit from not claiming. Vig is just a swingy role that's tough to fit in a serious competitive setup.
unless i added a crier. in theory it's a great substitute for BP but because of EM's nature to wait for & sheep the crier it doesn't seem that appealing
yeah at the end of the day, there's no getting around this. that's why i tried to make smaller vig setups but because of the nature of the vig they are either bland or Totally Bland
i mean, i don't see multiple paps being that strong since the first pap + subsequent night kills (+ reads on players) seems like it would be enough to make later paps redundant
theoretically i could throw in 3 paps since a) vig shot disables pap and b) scum will be in a big bind if their nillas/scout get picked off but not the pap
scum hitting bp can benefit town (gained ml with vig shot since theres a chance vig might not get a 2nd shot) so all 3 PRs would hide. the pap isn't there to have a role, just to aid scum in finding PRs if they go down
I'm not really sure how it'd be played - I would probably have BP claim and have the paparazzi counterclaim and have a battle between those two - with the goal being to get the BP lynched, or if pap is lynched then trying to reveal the cop/vig.
Not really sure what you had in mind for the vig though.
theres no value in playing it unranked honestly imo, the only real testing that is valid is a series of games played at a competitive (gold heart) level to evaluate balance issues
4 mafia setup sounds interesting on paper, but having 10 people alive is already pushing the limits of what can reasonably be managed. I guess it becomes more about crowd-control and herd-mentality with those numbers, which is interesting in itself.
his only application is dawn start "MYLO" setups or larger dawn start setups because using him in night start calls for a random shot and using his shot when town have a ML is counter-productive unless he can squeeze a 2nd shot out. so it's really hard to make a setup for him
