mafia is more like a game of pick up basketball, and sometimes people hog the ball and just airmail shots that always miss and don't play defense and make the game , and ideally everyone gets sick of the people who do that because they suck, but they're occupying the only court and most people are too bad to care

Yes it was certainly not the fault of the journalist who picked to visit the sheriff instead of the uncced cop despite the role description and everyone in the game patently describing their purpose.
Jake Gardiner, a defenseman for the Toronto Maple Leafs was recently benched for two games by his coach (Randy Carlyle) for not playing the system or the way that his coach expects him to. This is a punishment for making mistakes and bad plays in the NHL.
