This guy, at 20, was convicted of two armed robberies and given a 98 year sentence, served 8 years and was released due to a clerical error, lived 6 years as a free man, got married and had kids, then was forced to finish the sentence.
There are arguments on both sides of this. Should he or should he not be forced to finish the sentence?
People are sentenced to hundreds of years in jail--it's not abnormal.

well, assuming the verdict had multiple counts of kidnapping and robbery as well as other crimes, yes. it would also be a likely number if it went to trial.
Point is it would be injustice to the others who have to serve their full sentence and didn't get the luck of a clerical error. Stop your bleeding hearts and realize this dude is a criminal that got lucky.

you could say that, but the courts wouldn't do that and instead would just sentence him to life without possibility of parole.
I mean relative to 98 years, yes, but then if the courts sentenced him to 1800 years in prison and he served 100 you could say that was a short amount of time.... 6 years can be (and was in this case) life changing.
i don't know if the courts were wrong here. if it was an excessive sentence, the guy could and should appeal based on his 8th amendment rights. i don't see how the courts are obligated to change their ruling based on him being free for a short amount of time.
In this case, 98 years vs. 8 years.. courts were probably wrong since objectively he got his s*** together. I'm saying the courts should change the ruling, not that the courts should be ignored.
yes he should be forced to finish the sentence because that's how the criminal justice system functions.
The criminal justice system functions by letting people off due to clerical errors, then putting them back in prison when they get their s*** together?

I personally give it a 0/10

You would've given him a 1/10 if he wasn't white, Slow - admit it.

I'm sorry, that actually wasn't a question. Please keep your oppressive, pro-white opinions to yourself.
i bet most of the people voting that they should let him stay would be outraged if a banned player came back on an anonymous alt and was deemed to be ''reformed'' then when they find out it's actually the banned user, they'll want them to serve their original ban plus an extension for bypassing
